10 seconds....5, 4, 3, 2, 1, GO!

I try and help when I can, and this weekend was no exception. Eldora Ski Team hosted a local FIS race at Eldora and I got to help by being the starter. I got to see some old faces and play catch up which is always fun, but best of all I got to watch some ski racing first hand which was even better! My post for most of Saturday. L uckily we were further down the run and in the trees (away from the wind) for all of the slalom race on Sunday. Never a lack of views from the top of the mountain. We probably could have done with out the wind but that's always to be expected at Eldora ! I have to say, my family and I are blessed to have such great support and friendship the EMSC club. Sending out MUCH Monday Love!

kick-ass cold (flu) remedy...

Oscillococcinum is a homeopathic combination that safely and effectively provides natural relief from symptoms that are most commonly associated with the flu including fever, body aches, chills and aches. For temporary relief of symptoms of flu such as fever, chills, body aches and pains. Homeopathic Medicine. No side effects. Oscillococcinum is an anomaly in the homeopathic materia medica because it is one of the relatively few proprietary preparations. The name is registered by Boiron.Scarcely known to the English-speaking world, it is one of the most widely used and popular homeopathic medicines in France. But even in France it is anomalous. It is the only homeopathic medicine authorized for routine production in France in a dilution above the 30c, and by the Korsakovian method. All other homeopathic medicines in France are prepared by the Hahnemannian method, in potencies not exceeding 30c, although higher dilutions may be prepared on a named patient basis. The Korsakovian dilution...

Skiers Rally To Win Second Straight RMISA Title!!!

Photo Courtesy: CUBuffs.com PARK CITY, Utah — The University of Colorado ski team first rallied, and then in part to a strong showing in the men’s slalom, cruised to victory here Saturday in the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association Championships, which also served as the annual NCAA West Regional. Colorado, ranked No. 2 in the nation behind Vermont, entered the day two-and-a-half points behind third-ranked Utah (down from 12.5 after an overnight scoring correction), took a slim 1.5 point lead after the Nordic classical races and then pulled away after three Buffs finished in the top eight in the men’s slalom. The Buffs won with 865.5 points, with Utah grabbing runner-up honors with 790; the Utes were gunning for its first RMISA title since 2003. New Mexico (777.5), Denver (759) and Alaska-Anchorage (747) rounded out the top five in the seven-team event. Colorado captured its 11th RMISA title under head coach Richard Rokos, the second straight and fourth in the last six years....

stir-crazy....

A deep *sigh* and a grin...what a day! Stella and I spent the day at home hibernating ! I haven't slept past 5:45 am for at least 5 weeks.....today I slept till 9!!!! Woo Hooo !!! Stella had a massive , wicked cold on Thursday (doc said it wasn't croup..whew) that spilled into today so we stayed home. We watched the snow fall all day long, while the fire cranked and kept the house toasty. The house got CLEANED, the laundry done, oh and there was a HUGE XBox Kinect show down. Tomorrow we'll try and venture out for a bit, hit the gym (steam room) but take it easy so we'll be ready for school on Monday! No snow yesterday and check out what we woke up to! Love Colorado!!! One of the many show-downs.... hang gliding!!! and, in between all the fun...naps and relaxing. What a day! Wish everyone much love, health and happiness!!!

on the hunt...

I'm on the hunt for a new sofa and love seat for the living room. I got out and started searching with a good friend (he needed some new stuff too, and had WAY more sucess then me) the other day and didn't come up with anything! I figured when I see the right one, I'll just know! I still don't know what color I want in there, or even the style or fabric. Oy ...I have a feeling this might be a bit of a process. The one thing I do know (or so i think) is that I want a sectional. I have micro-fiber on the couches that I have now, but i don't think that's the direction I want to go in this time around. Who knows?!? Much Wednesday Love!!!

a few of my favs...

I can't tell you how nice it is not having to lug my laptop back and forth to work and all over the place. I can't say enough great things about my ipad !!! Of course Stella has downloaded a slew of apps for herself and it's made road trips pretty darn fun. Here are a few of our top apps that we've been playing with. Of course there are too many to name but we have tons of cooking apps, game apps, movies and other silly stuff. Some are fun, some are for work but non-the-less, the ipad ROCKS! If you can....GET ONE! Photogene rocks for photo editing, it's a toss up though, between this and photoshop for the ipad. Fruit Ninja! Zombie vs Plants! (Stella's Favorite) Star Walk! Ah- mazing app! Informant keeps my life (somewhat) organized. Flipbook , hands down takes the lead in media landscape and outlook for newspapers. Stones....one of my new favorite apps! Stella loves the djay app! If you get a chance check it out.... hours of fun to be had! Hope everyone ...
