it's not about the game....

Saturday = Awesome family day! Stella, Troy, Heidi (Stella's buddy) and I made the trip down to Boulder for some fun in the sun with the rest of the Rokos clan at the CU vs UCLA game.  Love this one.   Stella and Deda!   Ha! Love this picture. Troy, mom and dad.  Stella and her new CU bling.    Pre-game we got to go down on the field and hang with some of my dad's co-workers, watch the Buffs warm up and get up close a personal with Ralphie (the buffalo).   They may just be collage players but these guys are HUGE.  Stella having a chat with her good buddy and current CU President Bruce Benson.  Mom, Stella, Heidi and a few of the CU cheerleaders.   Once we got off the field and headed up to the club house right before the game, we ran into  http://www.collegeskis.com/ owner Mr. McLean. His daughter Shane skis for the CU Buffs and he's the creator of these awesome CU Bu...

mama t....

Stella's step-mom, Tyler aka Mama T is an amazing artist, creator and step-mom (among other things). A few weeks ago Stella got a little love-package from Mama-T and Arlin (Stella's step-brother) and in that package she got the lastest and greatest creations from Baby Lux Designs. Lots of colors and great designs, check out Tyler's stuff at www.babyluxdesign.com .  As the sun was setting this evening Stella took a few pictures for me in our backyard. I think they turned out pretty well!   ;)  This little one is loved....by tons of people!  Okay, kind of a gross picture but while taking pictures of Stella in the woods in our back yard I stepped on one of Gus's little bombs. Ha! SH** definitely happens! :)  Sending out tons of Tuesday LOVE!!  Love and Gratitude!

signs....

Another amazing weekend here in Breck. The Oktober Fest, some family time, football, and some house organizing and cleaning. This afternoon it's feet up and relaxing time before we start the week all over again tomorrow.  This time of year is so wonderful up here.....hoping we have many many more!   Couldn't have said it better myself!  LET IT SNOW!!! Mr Moose in our backyard. Taken off our deck.  Happy Sunday!  Love and Gratitude!

make it stop, 2.....

Driving Stella to the school bus this morning she plugs in her iPod as soon as we get in the car and this song starts cranking, Friday by Rebecca Black. If you've never heard it, don't worry you're not missing anything but unfortunately it's one of those songs that once you start singing it, it doesn't go away. Stella was next to me singing at the top of her lungs and all I could do was laugh. We get to the school bus, a quick hug and kiss goodbye and she was out the door and I was left with the song on relay in my head. It's still there! Ha! So here it is.......oh to be a teenager again! :)  Speaking of Fridays, it's Friday! Woo hoo! I'm now going on12 days straight of work and I'm super ready for the weekend, just need to get through today and Stella's soccer game this afternoon and it's nothing but relaxing and hangin with my peeps ALL weekend. There may be a date night and a bike ride or two involved but it's nothing but r...

the remedy...

Stella has had a bit of a cold the last few days so we use the one and only remedy that really works.....mom and dads concoction of mixing organic honey with organic cinnamon! A few tea spoons  every few hours and within no time you're feeling like a champ. It's a bit strong so to cut down on the taste eat a banana with it. Trust me it helps!   Local, Lyons Colorado honey and some yummy cinnamon.  I saw this online the other day and thought it was a fantastic idea. Some lemon wedges, honey and cinamon mixed in a jar and frozen. Then when the time is right a spoon full in some hot water and you have some wonderful, super healthy tea!  On another note.... check out the leaves right outside out fromt door. The trees are exploding in color and do you know what that means?!?! SNOW is on the way! Woo Hoo!  Hope everyone has had a fantastic week so far.  Sending ...

reading....

I pre-ordered this book on Tuesday and it is on it's already on it's way here!!! Woo hoo!  Being a long time follower of bike racing (thanks to my mom and dad) I am always fascinated by what pushes these guys. They are a rare breed. Tyler is a good friend of my parents so I'm super curious to see what he has to say. Whether you believe the whole doping thing or not I think it seems to have gotten a bit out of control. In my humble opinion I think they are ALL doing it but ......what do I know!  ;)  Update to follow once I get this puppy in my hands!  Happy Thursday!  Love and Gratitude!

desert...

Friday we embarked on a little trip to Moab. Only 4 hours from Breck but a totally different world. Upper 90's, warm rivers, camping, games, family time, lots of sunshine and some of my favorite people.....does it get much better?!? Camp de Watts! We had the best campsite out there and right on the river!!!  Two of my favorite girls eating the best smores ever!!!  Day two we hiked up to Delicate Arch! Seemed like a long hike considering we rode the day before and my legs seemed a bit jello-y but it was definitely worth the effort.  Stella and Noelle in the arch! These girls are some tough cookies, it was hot and long but they made it!   It's been about 18 years since I've ridden Slickrock, I remember it being a little easier back then but it felt great being back in the saddle, muscle memory is awesome! Stella and Noelle!   Stella rocking it!!! Our fearless leader riding even the hardest of hills.....HOT! ;) ...
