BOOM...

Troy-boy and I took the opportunity today to hit the hill and have a little date-day! We were predicted to get over a foot of snow last night but this morning we woke up to only a few inches of fluff. That didn't stop us from pulling out the fatty skis and cruisin the mountain all day. We dropped off Stella at school and scooted over Swan Mountain to Keystone.  My Rossi Fatties! Love them!   We only brought along our little pocket camera but Troy still managed to make me look good!    :)   I hate fuzzy pictures but I love this one. We look miserable right?!? He he,...like kids in a candy shop!  Mid day we took a walk over the bridge into Keystone Village to grab a quick snack and check out duckies we ran into. For as much time that I've spent at ski areas I can honestly say I've never ran  into ducks at the base of the mountain. They were pretty happy getting some granola from Troy!  Lunch of ...

pure joy...and some randomness....

With the weekend finally coming to a close, I sit here at my new little office space totally in love with my husband, daughter and this life that we are living. We had a very normal weekend filled with skiing, cleaning  the house and doing the laundry in anticipation of the week to come, and of course some GREAT family time. Feeling blessed to be here in the now.... Today Troy and I had our first Watts, family, lasagna, cook off.  Stella was our blind taste tester. I've come to find that maybe she's been watching a little too much Top Chef because she had some very in-depth, interesting critiquing going on. Ha, it was a hoot! Left-overs for the week! Woo-hoo!   Seriously addicted to these. We made a trip to Target today (the only place that carries these) and I couldn't resist. I love them so much I even post them in a blog......try them!   Two more of my "must haves" are these teas from World Market. The Vanilla Chai with a littl...

the road....

Its been a super week, Stella is on winter break so we've been doin lots of playing. We got to spend a few days at the Jolly Ranch with Papa and Nana B. It was pretty great but I think it's time we see Babi and Deda soon, it's been a while (we miss them)!!  :) Deda (my dad) and the CU Buffs are up in Montana this week and we are sending them lots of fast ski vibes and some major kicks ass mojo!  I got this pic with my iPhone (have had it for quite awhile and it still amazes me) in South Park on the way to the Jolly Ranch.  Lovin Colorado!    A little random (then again, not really)..... So grateful for EVERYONE in our stratosphere. Off to Eldo tomorrow so Stella can train with her team and to have another great family day out on the hill. We miss Taylor and Jordan so much and wish they were here visiting but......we smile, we love and we keep moving forward!  Sending out so much love and gratitude.

love from me to you...

Love this! Love YOU!  Love and Gratitude

so SO true...

Spending a few days at the Jolly Ranch with Stella, Bill and Becky! SO grateful for this time.  Love and Gratitude!

We Are What We Think....

We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts we make the world. Speak or act with an impure mind and trouble will follow you, like the wheel follows the ox that draws the cart. We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts we make the world. Speak or act with a pure mind and happiness will follow you, as your shadow unshaken. In this world, hate never yet dispelled hate. Only love dispels hate. This is the Law, ancient and inexhaustible. We are what we think. Buddha Palms up... Love and Gratitude.

a must see....

Addicted to this site,  www.pinterest.com . If you haven't already checked it out, do so. Visually it's beautiful and fun and easy to use. I've been meaning to post about it for quite some time and here we are. I've already gotten a few great ideas from this site.  Since I'm addicted to scarves, here is one from the closet.....Check it out,  www.pinterest.com Happy Monday!  Love and Gratitude.

horseeee.....

As mentioned before we spent the weekend at the Jolly Ranch. We had a lovely time outside with the horses and doggies. With the impending storm rolling in that is suppose to drop a few inches of white stuff I'm glad we got out to enjoy the sunshine.  Bill and Becky going on a hay drop for the horses.   Stella feeding Shiloh some carrots.  Taking a little time to enjoy the outdoors in the gazebo above the house!    Becky taking Hickory out for stroll. (One Jolly Rancher!) Love   Bill teaching Stella all of Hickory's commands. Who would have thought...she's going to be a cowgirl after-all!  :) As we prepare to go into the work week, we are excited for Friday and Taylor to get here. Woo hoo. Love and Gratitude.

raw...

With an extra 10,000 people coming into Breck this weekend we packed up and headed over the pass to the Jolly Ranch. We're so blessed to have this place so close to Breck and even more blessed that Bill and Becky there. We spent the typical weekend at the ranch relaxing, chatting, taking walks, playing with the horses and doggies and of course Stella spending hours in the pool.  So many pics to post of Stella ridding Hickory!  Hope everyone had a WONDERFUL weekend.  Love and Gratitude!

snowshoe...

This morning after I dropped Stella off at school and dropped off Troy and off I took to Peak 7 for a 3 mile snowshoe hike. The network of snowshoe trails in Breckenridge is awesome. It was just me, some great tunes and the wild. It feels so great to start the morning out with a little solitude and time to clear my mind and soul for the day. I'm anxiously awaiting to hear from a company that I interviewed with this week. Its a kick-ass job right down the road from the house which I would rock at. Cross your fingers!  :)       If you haven't already heard of Florence and the Machine (then you've been living under a rock ;)), you have to check her out. This is one of my favorite songs and what got me cruising up the mountain in my snowshoes.  Doesn't look like much but even this  gradual climb kicked my butt!  A funky tree I found along the way.    Once I got to the top of the trail I found this hut just off the...

a must....

If you're ever in Breckenridge and looking for an AWESOME place to stay, here it is, The Abbett Placer Inn Bed and Breakfast. Just a block off main street located in the heart of Breckenridge. Owned and operated by a great couple we had the pleasure of meeting, Emma and Niels Hagen and their doggie Buddy! This place has 5 beautiful rooms, a comfy living room, and an amazing little hot tub.  www.abbettplacer.com  I think the color is one of my favorite things.  This is one of their GREAT, comfy, cozy, super relaxing rooms.  Buddy has to be one of the friendliest doggies out there.   Troy at the top of the Overlook on a job assignment. Can this place be any cooler.   As always........happy!  Stella and one of her BFF's Grace, have sledding races down the driveway after school this afternoon.  One of my favorite sayings....... Love and Gratitude!

just to be clear..... :)

Love and gratitude, two of my favorite words. I use them a lot to express their most simplest form. I have love  and gratitude for so many things and people in my life, including YOU. I always end my blog posts with love and gratitude to also express that no matter how big or small or ups or down we have in our lives, we are blessed to have those experiences. I even have love and gratitude for the negatives in our lives, and either you get it or you don't. We've all had our dark moments in life but there are two types of people that either thrive on the negative or choose to be free and thankful. There will always be people with so much negativity in their hearts and head that they have created an unfullfillable space that nothing will fulfill them, and all I can do is send them LOVE and GRATITUDE and hope someday they will be fulfilled.    The definition of love:  Love is an emotion of strong affection and personal attachmet. Lov...

it's simple.

Love and Gratitude.

what a day....

Another AMAZING day on the hill with some of my favorite people. I know it's a little redundant BUT these days on the hill never seem to get old and it seems like one day is better then the next, there's only one word for that.....BLESSED!!!  Check out Breck behind us. If you look close enough you can see our house on Peak 7. I typically don't ski with a helmet when I'm cruising behind Stella but today I put on my "big girl" GS boards. Mama got some high speed turns in....WOO HOO!!!    Stella in the start.....3, 2, 1...GO! Yup, Gold!  A full day on the hill and we're all smiles.   These two yelling at me to hurry up and take the pic so we can go skiiiiiiiiii.  I saw this the other day and thought I'd pass along the post because it is so true. I have no ego and I have no want.....HAPPY.  Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend.  Sending out so much love and gratitude.

so freakin cool....

inspiring. Happy Wednesday Love and Gratitude.

Happy Birthday Robert Nesta Marley...

Love this man's music, his spirit, his ideals, his transcendence through time, the way he moves, and contributions he's made in his short time on this planet.  There isn't a time when I crank any Bobby tune and it doesn't put a smile on my face. Gratitude. Happy Birthday Bobby!

lovin this little one....

Just thought I'd share....  Love and Gratitude.

I'm addicted.....

.....to scarves. Always have been. From the time I can remember I've always loved wearing them. My collection is extensive and diverse, all sorts of colors, fabrics and textures....yup, I'm addicted.  :) My mom posted this video the other day and I LOVED it. So many great ideas on wearing scarves, so i thought I'd pass it along.....check it out.  Happy Monday.  Love and Gratitude.

snow, snow, snow..... i love snow

Saturday we loaded Taco (one of our cars) up bright and early and made the trek over to Eldora. With the estimated 2 feet of fresh, fluffy, Colorado snow predicted to have fallen there the night before we knew we were in for a fantastic day of skiing.  We dropped Stella off with her coach and busted up the mountain to try and catch some freshies and secret stashes of snow......and did we ever!   Stella and her buddies from her ski team......a happy little bunch of giggling girls.  Troy dropping into some backside trees. Some stashes were better then others, this one unfortunately we caught a little late but it still had some pretty great skiing.  Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend.  Sending out lots of LOVE and GRATITUDE.

left brain v.s. right brain....

LEFT BRAIN- I am the left brain I am a scientist. A mathematician. I love the familiar, I categorize. I am accurate. Linear. Analytical. Strategic. I am practical. Always in control. A master of words and language. Realistic. I calculate ecuations and play with numbers. I am order. I am logic. I know exactly who I am. RIGHT BRAIN- I am the right brain. I am creativity, a free spirit. I am passion. Yearning . Sensuality. I am the sound of the roaring laughter . I am taste. The feeling of sand beneath bare feet. I am movement. Vivid colors, I am the urge to paint on an empty canvas, I am boundless imagination. Art. Poetry. I sense. I feel. I am everything I want to be. Love and Gratitude....
