Track Time...

This weekend I was lucky enough to tag along and watch some auto cross racing. We were out in the middle of no-where, east of Denver in the flat lands. The weather was beautiful and there was plenty of action.
We left on Saturday afternoon and made it out to the track at sunset. It was beautiful and with being so far away from the city, once the sun set the night sky was breath taking. Stars as far as the eyes can see. We unloaded all our gear, threw a few PBR's in our pockets and hit the track on foot for a little walk. I've never raced cars but I can understand lines on a race track. It's very similar to ski racing. It was fun to look at a turn and know exactly where I would need to be to crank through the turn as fast as possible. After walking the track under a starry sky (it was almost magic :)) we headed back to the trailer and called it a night.
We got an early start on Sunday and luckily it was another incredible Colorado blue bird day. The races started early and ran through out the day. It was fun to sit back and watch all the excitement buzzing about.

I had to drive the "hamster" out because I had to leave early on Sunday but if you look close enough at the picture you can see the Rockies. Thank god it was a straight road, driving and trying to take a picture is not the easiest thing! hehe

I think I took a million and one pictures at the track but here's one from turn 13.
Hope everyone got a chance to get out and enjoy the sunshine this weekend.
Much Love!

Meaning To....

I've been meaning to post pictures of the finished wall at the office for a while now but it seems like every time I remember I'm either not near a computer or something else gets in the way. Well ...here it is, we decided not to do different patio layouts on top, those are going in a different spot but we did put some large slabs on top so we could display our furniture. Now, on to the next 1,000 different projects I have in mind for around here... only that's going to have to wait till tomorrow, the lil one is not feeling well so my mama went and picked her up from school and I'm heading to the doc with her in a few hours to get her checked out. Don't think it's anything major just chest congestion , runny nose but no fever. Nothing a little rest and TLC wont fix! I love the fact that everything is finally starting to turn green. Green makes every thing look better! :)

break #1....

Six weeks.....that's how long she has to have this thing on. It didn't happen playing pond hockey, it didn't happen skiing, it happen tripping down the sidewalk. I mean....REALLY!?!?! Much Love!

2013.......

Aaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!  What a spectacular, awesome, fantastic year. SO much to be thankful for but looking ahead I'm ready to kick some booty in 2014.  We got the chance to spend the holidays with family and I hope you all got to do the same! We've been on the go-go-go schedule so it was nice to slow things down a bit and enjoy each others company. I feel like there is so much to catch up on in the last few weeks but it seems like it's best to just move forward!!! Lots to look forward to in the next few weeks of the new year, Stella has her first race coming up this weekend, a race the following weekend and to add to the mix I have two of our largest shows of the year coming up for work. Flying by the seat of our pants..........Woot! Christmas Day skiing has turned into one of my most favorite family traditions!!   ....and of course Christmas Eve with the family is always great too!!!! It's so rare that we end up at the same mountain (not on a race ...
