Saturday...

I was expecting to wake up this morning with tons of snow on the ground and to my disappointment nothing. :( Snow aside, we had a kick ass day (although a little cold)
Before we get into today, last night Stella and I went to Dave and Busters for a few hour of fun (HOLY SENSORY OVERLOAD) but tons of fun. Connor went out with the boys to a Mammoth lacross game. Being just us the two of us, Stella and I took the opportunity to do a little shopping. We stopped at Ross on the way home and found really a great little Easter dress, and a new skirt for mama. woo hoo!
Back to today. We had a lazy morning then got motivated and headed to the Natural History Museum for a little learning. Stella loves that place. We explored the usual exhibits they have there and then hit Natural Disaster exhibit which I've been wanting to check out since they put it up. It was very interesting and Connor and Stella learned all they could about fault lines. Whew...so much to learn, so little time.

After we fueled our brains we stopped off for a little food and went home for a little break. We got back in the car after a few hours and headed out to Aurora to the Movie Tavern. We went to see Monster vs Aliens in 3D. It rocked.
With Stella in bed and Connie and I watching Saturday Night Live, I'm beat. I haven't stayed up to watch SNL in a really long time. Now I know why.....cause they air it so late. OK off to bed, tomorrow is another fun filled day! Nighty-Night!

Goofy!

2013.......

Aaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!  What a spectacular, awesome, fantastic year. SO much to be thankful for but looking ahead I'm ready to kick some booty in 2014.  We got the chance to spend the holidays with family and I hope you all got to do the same! We've been on the go-go-go schedule so it was nice to slow things down a bit and enjoy each others company. I feel like there is so much to catch up on in the last few weeks but it seems like it's best to just move forward!!! Lots to look forward to in the next few weeks of the new year, Stella has her first race coming up this weekend, a race the following weekend and to add to the mix I have two of our largest shows of the year coming up for work. Flying by the seat of our pants..........Woot! Christmas Day skiing has turned into one of my most favorite family traditions!!   ....and of course Christmas Eve with the family is always great too!!!! It's so rare that we end up at the same mountain (not on a race ...

Change.....

It's time for a change.  I've been wanting to switch blog platforms for quite sometime and just wasn't finding the right one but thanks to a dear friend of mine I was turned onto squarespace. It's taken a minute or two to figure out this new platform but I'm loving it. I've imported all the old content from this blog and am ready to roll. In short, I've moved to a new neighborhood!!! Woot!  I'm humbled that even one person reads my ramblings but when my numbers started hitting the 1000's on a monthly basis I was blown away. For those of you who read this with love, THANK YOU and for those who don't THANK YOU as well. My gratitude runs deep for all of you...... Hope to see you here: www.linda-rokos-watts.squarespace.com

Just say no to mud season.....

It just won't stop!!  We were kinda hoping it would just long enough for Troy to get out of Summit County and on the west side of GlenWood Springs before another big storm came in.  Nope. Didn't happen. It's mud season and nothing unusually or unexpected and I'm sure we will get one or two more storms but.....BOOOOOO!!! Our backyard is pretty beautiful right now!  Bike all packed and ready to go!  We had a few great dinner parties this weekend and I can't say that I'm too bummed Troy isn't on the road. Sunday's snuggled up together watching movies while it dumps outside isn't so awful! Hope you'll are having a fabulous weekend!  Love and Gratitude!
