Today Stella, Connor and I headed downtown to the Ronald McDonald house. We were there on behalf of UMass Alumni Association, Connors graduate school. We met some wonderful new people and saw some people that we already knew. We prepped lunch and in came all the residence of the 2nd floor of the Ronald McDonald house. Stella met a little girl named Sierra from California. Sierra has leukemia and her and her family arrived in Colorado a few days ago to start another round of chemo at the Children's Hospital. This will be Sierra's 3rd round. What a brave little girl. Stella and her played almost the whole time we were there which was for about 4 hours. I think Stella made a new pen pal. :) The rest of the afternoon was filled with Home Depot, Big Lots and TJ Maxx trips. We got some new things for the house and came home to make a great dinner and bake cookies. What a great Sunday!
Aaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!! What a spectacular, awesome, fantastic year. SO much to be thankful for but looking ahead I'm ready to kick some booty in 2014. We got the chance to spend the holidays with family and I hope you all got to do the same! We've been on the go-go-go schedule so it was nice to slow things down a bit and enjoy each others company. I feel like there is so much to catch up on in the last few weeks but it seems like it's best to just move forward!!! Lots to look forward to in the next few weeks of the new year, Stella has her first race coming up this weekend, a race the following weekend and to add to the mix I have two of our largest shows of the year coming up for work. Flying by the seat of our pants..........Woot! Christmas Day skiing has turned into one of my most favorite family traditions!! ....and of course Christmas Eve with the family is always great too!!!! It's so rare that we end up at the same mountain (not on a race ...
