happy tuesday...

Love and Gratitude!

not your typical amusement park...

Another wonderful family Sunday-Fun-Day! It started out with a fun little breakfast in town reconnecting with old friends and went straight into, what's becoming one of my favorite spots in Breckenridge, Crystal Lake. Sunshine, Stella, Gus, my Troy-boy, and some hiking. We are so blessed to be in such a kick-ass, beautiful place.   Someone has turned this old mine pulley-house into an actual house. It looked like it was about to fall over but it was so cool! Gus and I at the top of our hike, all smiles. It's true, the best things in life ARE free!   Stella and Gus running back down the trail.   Nothing like cold mountain water for a little fun!   No people, no noise, no cell phones, no money, just some cool mountain air!   Gus contemplating a swim!  Post-swim run down. He's still not sure what to think of the water, it takes quite a bit of coaxing to get him in. Hope everyone is havin...

already...?!?

Seriously?!? Can summer be over ALREADY?!?! Well in our world it is. Stella has a jump-start session at her middle school starting next week on Monday. Holy cow. It's only for a week and then she goes to Hood to ski for a week and then she comes home and we go full swing into our school year! Eeek!  We spent a few hours today at Target picking out all the PERFECT school supplies. I have to admit it was pretty fun.   Unfortunately the excitement will only last for about the first week and then the cold hard truth about being back in school for the year sets in! Ha! Oh to be a kid again!   Love cruising the isles of Target, so many fun things to look at. I came across this little gem and I'm totally in love with it. The price, $5, the purpose: to hold water on you night stand for those late night drinks. It's made of really thin glass and has a cute little lid *sigh* ! Ha!  So ready for a great relaxing weekend with the ones I love!...

bite your tongue...

Sometimes it's hard to do.....but I am proud of myself I think I know how to behave when it's called for!  ;) Yup, that's how I feel sometimes! Ha! (Mollie, I found this picture and thought of you, this is what a "noraml" cow looks like. Hehe, 19 days and counting!)  On a happy note, it's Friday and time for some R&R and some great family time!  Wishing Taylor and Jordan a safe trip home!  Sending out so much Love and Gratitude!

colorado....

Happy 131st birthday to our Colorado! On August 1, 1876 Colorado was the 38th state to join the Union.  I can't imagine being any place else!  Love and Gratitude!

simple life...

We had a great family day on Sunday tooling around Aspen. We hiked, we shopped and we sat back and enjoyed the sights and sounds. I must say it was nice to get out of Breck.... The red ones are my favorite. A little hike!   Stopping to enjoying the views!   Checking out the world cup hill!    Soaking it all in!  Me, buddha and a red ballon! Love!   Independence Pass!  Loving that the girls are here for a visit!   Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend, we sure did.  Love and Gratitude!

vail.

A lovely Saturday morning in Vail. We may be spending A LOT of time here this winter, still working on the details. In the mean time, the girls, Troy, Gus and I spent a few hours hiking, shopping, eating and enjoying the beautiful day. Love the architecture here,  a fantastic touch of Europe!  After a few hours we were on our way to a little place called Aspen, but first a stop in Glenwood for a little soak in the hot springs!  Woot!  What a weekend!  Love and Gratitude!
