Memorial Day Weekend.....

Fun filled packed long weekend....I love those! This weekend was no different, with an extra day because of Memorial Day. We started off with a Friday boot fit (yes, those are a family event and are considered a good time) and the fun just continued from there!

New boots, new fit. Thanks Diana and Harb!!!

Saturday, first day in the new boots. A semi-smile, not bad......smile through the pain.

Saturday afternoon, a nose piercing! OUCH!

Sunday fun-day! We made the trip up to Lyons to see my parents for my dad's 65th birthday party! Lots of food, great people, good beer, a little sunshine, some rain, and one awesome party!!
A little extra suprise came from mom and dad to Stella. Since she is going to be in South Africa for her birthday this summer they gave her an early present. A new speed suite. Talk about one happy girl that is going to be rocking this bad boy all summer!!

Beer and a fire pit! Does it get any better? Not feeling so great his morning, may have had a little too much beer!! HA!!

Last but not least, the reason we have an extra day this weekend. It's Memorial Day and today we honor all those that served this great country. Freedom is not free and so many people have sacrificed for that freedom. So to those people I say THANK YOU!

With love and gratitude to all service men and women out there!

Meaning To....

I've been meaning to post pictures of the finished wall at the office for a while now but it seems like every time I remember I'm either not near a computer or something else gets in the way. Well ...here it is, we decided not to do different patio layouts on top, those are going in a different spot but we did put some large slabs on top so we could display our furniture. Now, on to the next 1,000 different projects I have in mind for around here... only that's going to have to wait till tomorrow, the lil one is not feeling well so my mama went and picked her up from school and I'm heading to the doc with her in a few hours to get her checked out. Don't think it's anything major just chest congestion , runny nose but no fever. Nothing a little rest and TLC wont fix! I love the fact that everything is finally starting to turn green. Green makes every thing look better! :)

Ski Team!

A few weeks ago Stella started training with the Eldora Ski Team every Saturday. Now Saturday's can't come soon enough. I get up at 6 and get Stella up at 6:30 and we are out the door by 7. Usually we get up to Eldora around 8:30 after making a stop to get mama coffee and Stella and donut or two! :) By 9am Stella is ripping up the slopes with her coach (Dave) and 5 other little girls her age. She is having such a blast it's hard to believe we didn't do this sooner. I never noticed these signs before and thought it was pretty cool the ski area was showing some love to the local ski programs. Stella proceed to then inform me that they've been there for quite some time. Oops! :) Stella and two of her little ski buddies! Stella ripping up the GS course! At the end of the day which is usually at 3 all the kids have to help tear down the course. Stella is doing such an awesome job that it makes me one proud mama. Much Love!!!

Muddy...

It's coming along..... We had a rainy, wet Saturday but we got a few more rocks added to the wall. Mom and Dad got tons done over the last few days! After this pic was taken it got WAY muddier, that's when we really started digging in the dirt! Wishing everyone a lovely weekend. Much Love!
