Crossing The Finish Line....

We headed to Aspen this weekend for another Smartwool race. One GS and one slalom at the Highlands. Stella has had a bit of a hard time finishing this season (I've definitely been there) and the GS on Saturday was no different. Not for a lack of trying, she's been working on getting across that finish line but the 4th to last gate proved to be the end of her day. Full on yard sale, tangled in the gate, a bruised hip and ego. I gotta give it to the girl though, even through the tears there were smiles and the fire to do it better next time!!! On to today.....Stella has yet to finish a slalom this season but TODAY was her day! No more starting with 990 points. Whew!! First run she started third from last and definitely attacked from the back. Whether or not she finished today I am one proud mama but I will say.......I am happy for the kiddo!!! Wooooooooo!!!!!

10 pairs of skis, 5 boot bags, 5 pairs of poles, 5 girls, 2 adults and one PACKED Tahoe!!! GO TBK!

Have to give a shout out to my Mollie, my BBF (yes even in my late 30's I have a BBF and will until the day I die) she blew her knee out two weeks ago when they were out here visiting us. A beautiful bluebird day in Vail, front side groomers on our last run of the day heading to Pepi's for some beer and strudel. She is one tough cookie! After packing it in, she picked herself up, skied down, had that strudel and beer and still had this smile on her face.  Sending her LOTS of love, light, a swift surgery and lots of healing vibes!!! xoxo

Meaning To....

I've been meaning to post pictures of the finished wall at the office for a while now but it seems like every time I remember I'm either not near a computer or something else gets in the way. Well ...here it is, we decided not to do different patio layouts on top, those are going in a different spot but we did put some large slabs on top so we could display our furniture. Now, on to the next 1,000 different projects I have in mind for around here... only that's going to have to wait till tomorrow, the lil one is not feeling well so my mama went and picked her up from school and I'm heading to the doc with her in a few hours to get her checked out. Don't think it's anything major just chest congestion , runny nose but no fever. Nothing a little rest and TLC wont fix! I love the fact that everything is finally starting to turn green. Green makes every thing look better! :)

Ski Team!

A few weeks ago Stella started training with the Eldora Ski Team every Saturday. Now Saturday's can't come soon enough. I get up at 6 and get Stella up at 6:30 and we are out the door by 7. Usually we get up to Eldora around 8:30 after making a stop to get mama coffee and Stella and donut or two! :) By 9am Stella is ripping up the slopes with her coach (Dave) and 5 other little girls her age. She is having such a blast it's hard to believe we didn't do this sooner. I never noticed these signs before and thought it was pretty cool the ski area was showing some love to the local ski programs. Stella proceed to then inform me that they've been there for quite some time. Oops! :) Stella and two of her little ski buddies! Stella ripping up the GS course! At the end of the day which is usually at 3 all the kids have to help tear down the course. Stella is doing such an awesome job that it makes me one proud mama. Much Love!!!

on fire tonight.....

Sending out life force, strength and love! Sometimes we all need a little boost!  Love and Gratitude!
