It's been a while.....ready?!?

July 1st, the last time I blogged! Gosh, I've missed it but a hiatus was needed. I even took time away from taking my camera EVERYWHERE! It was time to sit back and enjoy time, people and situations around me without picturing or writing about them.
Getting back to the task at hand.....the last few months.....let's see, nothing too crazy to report since we got home from Europe. Although last Friday was a great week in the Rokos Family but I'll get back to that in a minute. School for Stella started in August which brought along with it Fall soccer and prep for the ski season. Troy spent a month in Chile (which he loved) and I did the mama thing. With Fall rolling into Colorado, the weather brought along some MAJOR rain (it was kinda big news around here). We weren't affected up here in Breck but my parents and a lot of our friends in Lyons were drastically affected. My parents to this day (six weeks later) still have no phone service or road to their house. They did however fair better then a lot of people down in the canyon and in town. Their house is still standing (thanks to some quick digging of tranches in the middle night by mom and dad) and they are healthy and happy so, all is good.
Stella as of two weeks ago started early release from school which means skiing has started. Can you believe it, it's here (the ski season). Troy and Stella are now on snow 5 days a week training. It's pretty exciting. I'm hoping to hop on snow this coming weekend and start taking some pictures! Woot!
Which brings us to last Friday night and my dads induction in to the Ski Hall of Fame. Along with 4 other inductees he was honored and inducted into amazing group of past and present legends in the skiing community. It was a great evening filled with many friends and most importantly our family being together, including my brother coming into town from New York. It was all pretty awesome!

My dad, along with Chad Fleisher, Larry Zimmer and two others received not only the honor of being inducted but also a life time pass to all Colorado ski areas.

 Love these guys!

Especially this one.

Last but not least, one last picture of Stella from Paris this summer. She is loving being back on snow and has two months of training 5 day a week before her first race of the season. That's a lot of snow time which is awesome.

Hope everyone is happy, healthy and doing great!
With much love and gratitude!

Meaning To....

I've been meaning to post pictures of the finished wall at the office for a while now but it seems like every time I remember I'm either not near a computer or something else gets in the way. Well ...here it is, we decided not to do different patio layouts on top, those are going in a different spot but we did put some large slabs on top so we could display our furniture. Now, on to the next 1,000 different projects I have in mind for around here... only that's going to have to wait till tomorrow, the lil one is not feeling well so my mama went and picked her up from school and I'm heading to the doc with her in a few hours to get her checked out. Don't think it's anything major just chest congestion , runny nose but no fever. Nothing a little rest and TLC wont fix! I love the fact that everything is finally starting to turn green. Green makes every thing look better! :)

Ski Team!

A few weeks ago Stella started training with the Eldora Ski Team every Saturday. Now Saturday's can't come soon enough. I get up at 6 and get Stella up at 6:30 and we are out the door by 7. Usually we get up to Eldora around 8:30 after making a stop to get mama coffee and Stella and donut or two! :) By 9am Stella is ripping up the slopes with her coach (Dave) and 5 other little girls her age. She is having such a blast it's hard to believe we didn't do this sooner. I never noticed these signs before and thought it was pretty cool the ski area was showing some love to the local ski programs. Stella proceed to then inform me that they've been there for quite some time. Oops! :) Stella and two of her little ski buddies! Stella ripping up the GS course! At the end of the day which is usually at 3 all the kids have to help tear down the course. Stella is doing such an awesome job that it makes me one proud mama. Much Love!!!

on fire tonight.....

Sending out life force, strength and love! Sometimes we all need a little boost!  Love and Gratitude!
