Pasta, Pasta, Pasta.....

Stop number two of our little European trip was Rome, Italy! I don't know if I'm going to be able to even begin to describe how freakin cool this city is. The food, the people, the history, the buildings, the vibe are just all amazing. Troy had this city dialed in even before we hit the ground running. First morning we got an early start and got our bearings and started some serious site seeing. I feel like even if we spent a month there and went site-seeing every day we still wouldn't see everything there is to see.

One of our first stops was Vatican City (that also happen to be where we picked up our Rome Passes) It was Sunday morning and thousands of people where flocking to the square. I knew this place was popular but didn't think there would be SO many people. Little did I know that all the people flocking to the square were there to see the Pope that was giving his Sunday public address at noon. We didn't see the Pope, we got out of there about an hour before he appeared but WOW, it was quite a site to see so many people waiting to just catch a glimpse.

Endless photo taking in the city. On every street, every where you turn there is something to take a picture of.

The pictures don't do the columns justice. They are massive. I think the three of us came to the conclusion that only aliens could have built this city. I don't understand how these building, columns and statues could have been built thousands of years ago without modern day technology and most of it is still in pristine condition having survived all the elements through out the years. Simply amazing!

Stella and I over looking the Colosseum.

 The Sistine Chapel.
You're not suppose to have a camera here but I just happen to be holding my camera and turned it upwards next to my hip and took one shot. I almost got the entire ceiling! Ooops! :)

Still can't tell you just how amazing all these columns are and the there were 100's of them in the Vatican Square

Before this pic was taken, we were at the Trevi Fountain but this building behind Stella is the Pantheon. The history of this building is insane and the fact that it is so preserved is incredible. It's definite must see if you are in Rome.

Can't believe how fast and beautifully this little one is growing up!

Two of my favorite people. Our family adventures are so much fun! Here's to many more!

Our last full day in Rome we decided to take a break from site-seeing, hop on the train to the coast to the little town of Anzio. We spent the day on the beach soaking in the sun and playing in the water.

We couldn't have asked for a better time!
Next stop Paris!

Happy to be back home and back into the swing of things. We left Breckenridge with snow still on the ground and came home to everything in full bloom. Love this time of season up here.

Happy Summer Solstice.
Love and Gratitude.

Meaning To....

I've been meaning to post pictures of the finished wall at the office for a while now but it seems like every time I remember I'm either not near a computer or something else gets in the way. Well ...here it is, we decided not to do different patio layouts on top, those are going in a different spot but we did put some large slabs on top so we could display our furniture. Now, on to the next 1,000 different projects I have in mind for around here... only that's going to have to wait till tomorrow, the lil one is not feeling well so my mama went and picked her up from school and I'm heading to the doc with her in a few hours to get her checked out. Don't think it's anything major just chest congestion , runny nose but no fever. Nothing a little rest and TLC wont fix! I love the fact that everything is finally starting to turn green. Green makes every thing look better! :)

Ski Team!

A few weeks ago Stella started training with the Eldora Ski Team every Saturday. Now Saturday's can't come soon enough. I get up at 6 and get Stella up at 6:30 and we are out the door by 7. Usually we get up to Eldora around 8:30 after making a stop to get mama coffee and Stella and donut or two! :) By 9am Stella is ripping up the slopes with her coach (Dave) and 5 other little girls her age. She is having such a blast it's hard to believe we didn't do this sooner. I never noticed these signs before and thought it was pretty cool the ski area was showing some love to the local ski programs. Stella proceed to then inform me that they've been there for quite some time. Oops! :) Stella and two of her little ski buddies! Stella ripping up the GS course! At the end of the day which is usually at 3 all the kids have to help tear down the course. Stella is doing such an awesome job that it makes me one proud mama. Much Love!!!

on fire tonight.....

Sending out life force, strength and love! Sometimes we all need a little boost!  Love and Gratitude!
