60mph......

We are in Steamboat this weekend for Stella's SG training camp. We started out the day on Howelsen Hill with the kids making one big turn at high speed from top to botton and working on catching air and pressing knolls. The second part of the afternoon was spent tucking the outrun of the nordic jumps while being gunned by the radar to track their speed. Stella's final run was tagged at 60mph. Some of the boy were hitting about 67mph, eeeek. Every time Stella came down she got faster and faster and her grin got bigger and bigger and my heart almost pounded out of my chest every time. I was a bit of a Nervous Nancy today but I was trying my best not to let Stella see that, I just closed my eyes every time she came down and breathed a sigh of relief when she was down safe and sound. I do love that fact that she is pushing herself more and more and loving every minute of it.

the grin....

Stella at the top!

About to hit top speed!

Happy girls!

Alex, Grace and Stella!

Team Breck! Stella, her coaches and her team mates. What a great group!

We get to do this all again tomorrow. Stella is psyched and ready to rock another day!
Hope everyone is having a spectacular weekend
Love and Gratitude!

Meaning To....

I've been meaning to post pictures of the finished wall at the office for a while now but it seems like every time I remember I'm either not near a computer or something else gets in the way. Well ...here it is, we decided not to do different patio layouts on top, those are going in a different spot but we did put some large slabs on top so we could display our furniture. Now, on to the next 1,000 different projects I have in mind for around here... only that's going to have to wait till tomorrow, the lil one is not feeling well so my mama went and picked her up from school and I'm heading to the doc with her in a few hours to get her checked out. Don't think it's anything major just chest congestion , runny nose but no fever. Nothing a little rest and TLC wont fix! I love the fact that everything is finally starting to turn green. Green makes every thing look better! :)

break #1....

Six weeks.....that's how long she has to have this thing on. It didn't happen playing pond hockey, it didn't happen skiing, it happen tripping down the sidewalk. I mean....REALLY!?!?! Much Love!

2013.......

Aaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!  What a spectacular, awesome, fantastic year. SO much to be thankful for but looking ahead I'm ready to kick some booty in 2014.  We got the chance to spend the holidays with family and I hope you all got to do the same! We've been on the go-go-go schedule so it was nice to slow things down a bit and enjoy each others company. I feel like there is so much to catch up on in the last few weeks but it seems like it's best to just move forward!!! Lots to look forward to in the next few weeks of the new year, Stella has her first race coming up this weekend, a race the following weekend and to add to the mix I have two of our largest shows of the year coming up for work. Flying by the seat of our pants..........Woot! Christmas Day skiing has turned into one of my most favorite family traditions!!   ....and of course Christmas Eve with the family is always great too!!!! It's so rare that we end up at the same mountain (not on a race ...
