it's been a while.....

Merry Christmas everyone!!!
I know it's been a while but these last few weeks have been nuts and it had nothing to do with the holiday (that was easy). Between Stella's skiing and school schedule, being super-crazy busy at work before the holidays and Troy working his booty off we've been enjoying the quiet, relaxing time in the evenings to their full extent. But on to the fun stuff.....Christmas. This year for the first time since I can remember we switched things up a little and started some new family traditions. My parents came up to Breck on Monday afternoon. Mom and I got to cooking and dad went for a walk with the doggies while Troy made his way home from work. We had our traditional family Christmas Eve dinner with dad's famous potato salad, mom's smoked turkey, salmon and chicken schnitzel and of course one of my moms fantastic deserts. To say we were stuffed was an understatement!

Stella with a big grin before all the gifts...it just got bigger once she started opening up all of them! She must have been REALLY good this year.....   ;)

First Christmas in 24 years without Tommy! Super sad and we were super missing him but we'll see him soon! Love you Tommy!!!

Stella and her new AWESOME blanket from Babi!

Guess who is going to be SUPER fast in this year's beer league?!? THIS GUY!!!

Mom got a new kitchen from Santa (dad)!!!! Woo hoo!!!

Among all the things Stella got this year, she got a new pair of free-ski skis! They are beautiful. It's one thing to have a quiver of racing skis (which she does) but it's another to have a super fun all-mountain, ripping-around pair of skis.
Whew! What a great time! Hoping everyone had as wonderful of Christmas as we did!

So Much LOVE and GRATITUDE!!!!

Meaning To....

I've been meaning to post pictures of the finished wall at the office for a while now but it seems like every time I remember I'm either not near a computer or something else gets in the way. Well ...here it is, we decided not to do different patio layouts on top, those are going in a different spot but we did put some large slabs on top so we could display our furniture. Now, on to the next 1,000 different projects I have in mind for around here... only that's going to have to wait till tomorrow, the lil one is not feeling well so my mama went and picked her up from school and I'm heading to the doc with her in a few hours to get her checked out. Don't think it's anything major just chest congestion , runny nose but no fever. Nothing a little rest and TLC wont fix! I love the fact that everything is finally starting to turn green. Green makes every thing look better! :)

break #1....

Six weeks.....that's how long she has to have this thing on. It didn't happen playing pond hockey, it didn't happen skiing, it happen tripping down the sidewalk. I mean....REALLY!?!?! Much Love!

2013.......

Aaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!  What a spectacular, awesome, fantastic year. SO much to be thankful for but looking ahead I'm ready to kick some booty in 2014.  We got the chance to spend the holidays with family and I hope you all got to do the same! We've been on the go-go-go schedule so it was nice to slow things down a bit and enjoy each others company. I feel like there is so much to catch up on in the last few weeks but it seems like it's best to just move forward!!! Lots to look forward to in the next few weeks of the new year, Stella has her first race coming up this weekend, a race the following weekend and to add to the mix I have two of our largest shows of the year coming up for work. Flying by the seat of our pants..........Woot! Christmas Day skiing has turned into one of my most favorite family traditions!!   ....and of course Christmas Eve with the family is always great too!!!! It's so rare that we end up at the same mountain (not on a race ...
