Deda Rokos.....

Deda Rokos passed away this morning at 92 years old. He is survived by my dad and Inge (my step-grandmother). I'm happy Stella got to meet him last summer. May he rest in peace!  Love and Gratitude!

head in the clouds.....

Daydreaming of castles, history, art, culture, really good beer, cafes, goombahs, cobble stone streets, bread shops, meat shops, boutiques, statues, town squares, fountains, palaces, canals, endless walks, exploring, being foreigners, pastry shops, public transit, endless picture taking......and the list can go on and on.                                                           Paris, France!                       photo by: travel bug                                               Prauge, Czech Republic!                  photo by: travel bug                  ...

the perfect day....

On the morning of the 25th we got up got our ski stuff on and hit the slopes. I can't think of a better way to spend such a great day with all of my favorite people minus a few people of course (Tommy)!!! Did I mention that I LOVE snow?!? It was a perfect day! A happy little family pic!   Stella rocking Troy's Go-Pro taking fun video of everyone!!!  Little one ripping around on her new planks!   This style of skiing is called the "casual mom"!   and here is my mama shredding it! We had perfect snow conditions!!!  Dad getting after it!!!  I can't tell you the last time we were all together skiing that didn't involve a race hill or some kind of training. It was pretty special!  Hope everyone had a fantastic holiday and hope everyone gets to spends such quality time with their loved ones as we got to!! Lots and love and gratitude!!!

it's been a while.....

Merry Christmas everyone!!!  I know it's been a while but these last few weeks have been nuts and it had nothing to do with the holiday (that was easy). Between Stella's skiing and school schedule, being super-crazy busy at work before the holidays and Troy working his booty off we've been enjoying the quiet, relaxing time in the evenings to their full extent. But on to the fun stuff.....Christmas. This year for the first time since I can remember we switched things up a little and started some new family traditions. My parents came up to Breck on Monday afternoon. Mom and I got to cooking and dad went for a walk with the doggies while Troy made his way home from work. We had our traditional family Christmas Eve dinner with dad's famous potato salad, mom's smoked turkey, salmon and chicken schnitzel and of course one of my moms fantastic deserts. To say we were stuffed was an understatement!  Stella with a big grin before all the gifts...it just got bigger ...

OMG....look what i found.

Indoor cycling championships.....yes, this is a real "sport" or so the Korean's think so. Not only is it a sport but there is a "World Championship" for it! I want to see a spin class like this. Ha! This is pure awesomeness!  Soak it in! ;)  Happy Monday, Love and Gratitude!

juicing + bathroom painting = sunday-funday

Okay I'm back on it. Juicing once again! This weekend I caught up on laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, cooking, baking, painting and juicing. The "kids" Troy and Stella were with their respective teams training and as nice as it was to have Saturday all to my-self to catch up Sunday I was at home missing them and wanting to play, so instead i took that energy and painted one of our guest bathrooms.   My favorite juice recipe, all organic, beets, apples, carrots, kale and lots of ginger for that extra punch!   Beets always leave a great hand stain.   Such yummy goodness. Hopefully with juicing and crossfit these extra 10lbs will be gone and I'll be back down to fighting weight, 115lbs!  On to the bathroom....here is the before. It was yellow. Not a huge fan but it's a great little space. Unfortunately this pictures isn't exactly the color. It looks much more like a steel blue in real life. An awesome new shower-head, ...

Christmas, it's here....

Stella had her school Christmas choir concert last night! It's scary how quickly this year is coming to an end. We have a few fun filled days planned with my parents over Christmas, and hoping to spend some time in there with the Conklings and the rest of the Watts's, the only thing that will really be missing this year is TOMMY!!! He unfortunately has to stay in New York! Boooooo! Stella didn't get a solo in this year's choir performance which she was a little bummed about but we sat in the front row and could hear her belting from there! It was awesome!   My mama made the trip up for a few hours of hangin and Stella's performance. She brought along tons of goodies! THANK YOU MAMA!!!!  On a super happy note, it's currently snowing!!! WOOO!!! It's so long overdue! We're expected to get around a foot but we'll take more!  Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend! Sending out lots of love and gratitude!

a lifetime isn't enough...

Weekends never seem long enough, but here we are Monday morning, snow is falling and the sun shinning, (one of the many reasons I love Colorado), we have our health, we have love and we have each other. Morning tunes on the way to work (a whole 4 mile drive :)) and thoughts of gratitude!  Blessed!  Happy Monday!
