W.O.D.

I have a new addiction. Not since I was in my late teens have I worked-out so hard. Yes, I've started doing Crossfit. (Click the Crossfit to learn). I have never been so pushed and driven to want to workout on a daily basis and inspired by how hard the people around me are pushing themselves. For example the W.O.D. (workout of the day) last night was:

THE CLEANSE

20  POWER CLEAN

20 HANG SQUAT CLEAN

***TIME***

RX:  80%

STRENGTH TRAINING:

PUSH PRESS

5 REP 75%

3+ REP  90%

SPLIT JERK

3 X 1 90+%

I watched in awe and was inspired as these women pushed their way through this workout. Never in my life did I think I would be doing power cleans, squats and dead lifts again (i forgot how much I loved it). Being a "newbie" this was not my workout and we probably only did about 1/2 of this and I can't move and I seriously hurt this morning and the crazy thing is I want more. In the gym there are no egos and no one looks good or pretty doing what they do, everyone is pushing one another and rooting for one another and no matter how long it takes you to get through your WOD, you freakin rock.
Truly inspired.

It's Friday and that means a weekend ahead full of skiing! Woo hoo!

Sending out lots of weekend love and gratitude!

Meaning To....

I've been meaning to post pictures of the finished wall at the office for a while now but it seems like every time I remember I'm either not near a computer or something else gets in the way. Well ...here it is, we decided not to do different patio layouts on top, those are going in a different spot but we did put some large slabs on top so we could display our furniture. Now, on to the next 1,000 different projects I have in mind for around here... only that's going to have to wait till tomorrow, the lil one is not feeling well so my mama went and picked her up from school and I'm heading to the doc with her in a few hours to get her checked out. Don't think it's anything major just chest congestion , runny nose but no fever. Nothing a little rest and TLC wont fix! I love the fact that everything is finally starting to turn green. Green makes every thing look better! :)

break #1....

Six weeks.....that's how long she has to have this thing on. It didn't happen playing pond hockey, it didn't happen skiing, it happen tripping down the sidewalk. I mean....REALLY!?!?! Much Love!

2013.......

Aaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!  What a spectacular, awesome, fantastic year. SO much to be thankful for but looking ahead I'm ready to kick some booty in 2014.  We got the chance to spend the holidays with family and I hope you all got to do the same! We've been on the go-go-go schedule so it was nice to slow things down a bit and enjoy each others company. I feel like there is so much to catch up on in the last few weeks but it seems like it's best to just move forward!!! Lots to look forward to in the next few weeks of the new year, Stella has her first race coming up this weekend, a race the following weekend and to add to the mix I have two of our largest shows of the year coming up for work. Flying by the seat of our pants..........Woot! Christmas Day skiing has turned into one of my most favorite family traditions!!   ....and of course Christmas Eve with the family is always great too!!!! It's so rare that we end up at the same mountain (not on a race ...
