jealous much?!?

Today I was riddled with jealousy (okay maybe that's a bit dramatic) but I was a little bummed knowing that my husband was spending the day in Beaver Creek watching the mens WC DH training and I sitting in my office staring out the window. And, to add insulte to injury it was freakin gorgeous outside. Okay enough complaining, at least he brought home some great pictures and stories.   the finish   It's sad how few people were there to watch, hopefully the weekend will pack in and there will be lots of people there to cheer on the boys.  I'm going to try and sneak over there on Sunday with dad after dropping Stella off in Copper for training.  Had to post this pic since it is Stella's FAVORITE racer. Ha!  Hope everyone is having a fantastic week! Do a little snow day and pray for snow!  Love and Gratitude!

feelin it....

With Thanksgiving behind us and Christmas in our near future, I figured I would take the few days that Stella was out of town to get the house all Christma-fide! There always seems to be a part or two missing every year from the tree, this year the stand disappeared so a quick trip into town and whoa-la the tree was up. It took me a few days, the Macy's parade and a few mimosas to get into the spirit but it ended up being a total hoot.  My favorite ornament, our pirate froggie!  I think the tree ended up coming together quite nicely and oddly enough Santa left an early Christmas present for Stella this year, she was quite surprised when she got home from Seattle today!  4 days away is 4 days too many! So happy to have Stella back in the big CO!  Back to normal tomorrow, training for Stella while Troy and I go cruise the mountain! Blessed!  Love and Gratitude!

full....

After having a wonderful dinner at one of our favorite spots we decided to "walk it off" a little down Main Street in Breck. Not too many people out so town was nice and quite. We took Gus along with us since he waited so patiently for us while we had dinner.   Having a hoot but missing Stella. Only two more days and she's HOME! Woot!  Our "offical" Thanksgiving picture! Hehe! We like to keep things formal (NOT)!  Our little boy!!  Thanks to my husband for the awesome pictures, giving credit where credit is due! Tomorrow is a day full of skiing in Vail (a little ski date) with my guy! Woo HOO!!!  Hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving full of love and family.  Love and Gratitude.

gobble, gobble....

Grateful (today and everyday) for love, family, friends, in-laws, outlaws, doggies, happy homes, health, living where we live, parents, Stella, my Troy and for YOU.  I'm also grateful for Stella getting to spend a few days with her dad and her Arlin over Thanksgiving, in Seattle. Troy and I are at home alone and although there are many friends and family we could have joined for Thanksgiving (thank you all for the invitations) we've decided to have a lovely evening out together and have someone else do the cooking for us. We were lucky enough to get a reservation at one of our favorite restaurants here in town. No cooking (kinda bummed about that), no cleaning (grateful for that)  :).  Like every day I wish you all health, love, and happiness.  HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!  Love and gratitude!

that kind of day....

Sunday while Stella was training at A-Basin, Troy and I snuck off for a few runs in Keystone. Unfortunately we ran into about a 1000 other people doing the same thing we did on the one run they had open. We took a few runs, braved the crowds and had a hoot.  We had a great little apre ski and made it just in time to watch Stella take her last runs with her team.  Only a day and a 1/2 more of work and 2 more crossfit clases to make it through and then it's a few days off and some serious R & R mixed in with some major skiing! Woot!  Hope everyone has a fantastic Thanksgiving week. Lots of love and gratitude!

W.O.D.

I have a new addiction. Not since I was in my late teens have I worked-out so hard. Yes, I've started doing Crossfit . (Click the Crossfit to learn). I have never been so pushed and driven to want to workout on a daily basis and inspired by how hard the people around me are pushing themselves. For example the W.O.D. (workout of the day) last night was: THE CLEANSE 20  POWER CLEAN 20 HANG SQUAT CLEAN ***TIME*** RX:  80% STRENGTH TRAINING : PUSH PRESS 5 REP 75% 3+ REP  90% SPLIT JERK 3 X 1 90+% I watched in awe and was inspired as these women pushed their way through this workout. Never in my life did I think I would be doing power cleans, squats and dead lifts again (i forgot how much I loved it). Being a "newbie" this was not my workout and we probably only did about 1/2 of this and I can't move and I seriously hurt this morning and the crazy thing is I want more. In the gym there are no egos and no one looks good or pret...

Marilyn.....

Sometimes I try and I fall short but that doesn't mean I wont keep trying! In the end it will work out!  Isn't life grand!  Marilyn had it right!  Love and Gratitude!
