One of my favorite human beings came for a visit these past few days. Mollie and I go back some 17years and no matter the time and space that has been put before us, our friendship has never changed.   Love this girl!  And, now I love this guy! Barry! A great new addition to our family (good work Mollie)!! I have a feeling we'll be spending TONS more time together (especially this winter)   ;) Oh Gus! He came on our little adventure too!  We got a little wet along the way but that didn't stop us none!   The crew, new and old!  Wishing Mollie and Barry safe travels home. Thanks for the visit and here's to many more adventures!  Love and Gratitude!

We all have a way of looking at things. You can either choose to be happy or you can choose to be unhappy and two people can look at the same situation and have VERY different outcomes. Sure things aren't always easy and life has its bumps in the road and we all have our down days, but even in those circumstances it's possible to have a positive outlook. Count your blessings and have gratitude and that will almost alway put a smile on your face. It's not about what we don't have but what we do have, like our relationships with family and friends, health and happy kids. So, to all the negative ninnies out there, smile it will make you feel better!   Happy Monday!  Love and Gratitude. 

Evenings are getting cooler, there are occasional flurries at about 12,000 feet and I'm praying for snow. Ok, you may think it's a bit premature but I'm ready for it! We've got the ski area less then 1/2 a mile from the house, we're slowly looking for the perfect pair of fatties for the season.....can you feel it?!? Snow is coming!! Woo hoo!  YES!!!  This week has been INSANE! We are in the process of getting ready for one of our largest shows in Vegas that the boys leave for on Saturday. It's one of two shows that we do where we get to put our best foot forward and amaze all the buyers for all the boutiques that we sell to. So we have to get it right. With all the new samples that we have been getting from Peru, having to choose a new line has been tough, too many amazing choices to choose from!  Scary, but this is an alpaca sweater that we produced in the 80's and I just happend upon it while digging around in the warehouse the other day. Trust me we've had a HUGE evolution in our sweaters since then! Still fun to see!  Our new line of cottons. We've got two racks that we are sifting through to find the top 30!  On another note, check out Stella and my dad at the top of Hood with some of the CU kids. She sounds like she's having a blast! Missing her a bunch but we get to see her on Saturday. ...

This guy is one big love monkey! As my husband puts it he's "a ball of gratitude".  He's got the most soulful, expressive eyes. Love this fur ball.  I can tell he's already missing his favorite play buddy Stella. He will be so excited to see her  by next weekend! Words I can stand behind! Spoke with Stella today for about 10 seconds while they were getting ready for a bike ride  and she couldn't have sounded happier. She definitely didn't have time for mama, way too busy having fun! :) Sending out so much love and gratitude!

With fall and winter quickly approaching, I've been on the hunt for the perfect pair of boots. I have a great pair of black and brown riding boots from a few years ago but sadly i think they've made it through their last season this past winter, they're both falling apart a bit. With my new job and all the great clothes available at my finger tips I'm thinking this season there is going to be a lot of leggings, great sweaters and boots. I've been trolling the internet looking for right boot and here's what it's come down to.   Frye, Paige Tall Riding Boot! Born, Bitys Frye, Melissa Logo Frye, Jackie Button  La Canadienne, Stefanie I can't choose, I want all of them!  There will of course be a pair of Sorel's thrown in there too, I think the first pair of Sorels I had lasted about 10 years. That's the beauty of having the same size foot since the age of 13. Can you tell, I'm ready for snow!!! :) Stella mad...

We dropped Stella off this morning in Boulder at my dad's office and she's off to Hood for a week of skiing! Woo hoo! With Beatrice (the black van) and the white Sprinter fully loaded and ready to make the haul west. Wish the crew a fast safe drive and LOTS of great skiing!   Looking slick and ready to go!  After dropping Stella off we had a lovely breakfast in Boulder and we were off to the Jolly Ranch. We made a pit stop along the way and drove through the Garden of the Gods. It's been years and years since I've been through this area so we moseyed our way through! Holy cow, it's beautiful!   Of course we had our side-kick Gus with us! He was a pretty happy doggie sniffing all he could.   The contrast in colors of the rocks is amazing and only a few feet away from each other.   Got this shot off while driving (shhhhh I know it's not a good idea) but in my defense we were going 2 miles an hour behind a very long line of...

The sunshine, fresh mountain air, afternoon rain showers.....ah, summertime! These guys rock!!!! Love and Gratitude! 

I did another photo shoot with Brigitte yesterday and it was AWESOME. Troy saved the day because I forgot my silly SD card (rookie mistake) ha! We had so much fun with all the new styles and colors and  Brigitte is a hoot to work with. She's one of those girls who you want to hate but absolutely LOVE, super beautiful, super funny and down to earth. Back to the clothes....we are expanding our line with so many new colors and new styles that it's been a bit of a challenge coding and a little bit of a accounting nightmare but I wouldn't have it any other way. Meet Brigitte! She makes all our stuff look fantastic and I LOVE being the person behind the lens taking her pictures!!! Yes, I LOVE my job!  On another note, we're packing Stella up for Hood tonight and we head to my parents tomorrow so she can start on her journey with my dad on Saturday. Exciting stuff!  LOVE and GRATITUDE!

Another wonderful family Sunday-Fun-Day! It started out with a fun little breakfast in town reconnecting with old friends and went straight into, what's becoming one of my favorite spots in Breckenridge, Crystal Lake. Sunshine, Stella, Gus, my Troy-boy, and some hiking. We are so blessed to be in such a kick-ass, beautiful place.   Someone has turned this old mine pulley-house into an actual house. It looked like it was about to fall over but it was so cool! Gus and I at the top of our hike, all smiles. It's true, the best things in life ARE free!   Stella and Gus running back down the trail.   Nothing like cold mountain water for a little fun!   No people, no noise, no cell phones, no money, just some cool mountain air!   Gus contemplating a swim!  Post-swim run down. Seriously?!? Can summer be over ALREADY?!?! Well in our world it is. Stella has a jump-start session at her middle school starting next week on Monday. Holy cow. It's only for a week and then she goes to Hood to ski for a week and then she comes home and we go full swing into our school year! Eeek!  We spent a few hours today at Target picking out all the PERFECT school supplies. I have to admit it was pretty fun.   Unfortunately the excitement will only last for about the first week and then the cold hard truth about being back in school for the year sets in! Ha! Oh to be a kid again!   Love cruising the isles of Target, so many fun things to look at. I came across this little gem and I'm totally in love with it. The price, $5, the purpose: to hold water on you night stand for those late night drinks. It's made of really thin glass and has a cute little lid *sigh* ! Ha!  So ready for a great relaxing weekend with the ones I love!...

Sometimes it's hard to do.....but I am proud of myself I think I know how to behave when it's called for!  ;) Yup, that's how I feel sometimes! Ha! (Mollie, I found this picture and thought of you, this is what a "noraml" cow looks like. Hehe, 19 days and counting!)  On a happy note, it's Friday and time for some R&R and some great family time!  Wishing Taylor and Jordan a safe trip home!  Sending out so much Love and Gratitude! 

Happy 131st birthday to our Colorado! On August 1, 1876 Colorado was the 38th state to join the Union.  I can't imagine being any place else!  Love and Gratitude!
