Today was the 10th annual Waterville Valley Gazebo Sachet. A great gathering for locals living in the valley to get together, drink, eat and enjoy each others company in the great outdoors. Besides getting to know all the moms and dads at Stella's school I haven't had much of a chance to get to know the rest of the community. It's a small knit group of great people, and what a great way for all of us to get together. The basic idea of the sachet is there are groups of people that host at each gazebo in town. Each gazebo has a theme. We (the PTA moms) hosted a gazebo this year. It was a Patriots tailgate theme since the Patriots are playing this afternoon. Plus we thought it would be a great way to get the guys out of the house before the game. Lots of beer, wings, chili, and snacks!
Stella hung out with her buddy Olivia while we all sachet. Luckily with the valley being so small were within walking distance at any given moment.
Gazebo #1. The lovely ladies from the library hosted at this gazebo. Lots of great finger sandwiches! Notice the beer cart on loan from the golf course. With the open container law in Waterville we could sachet from gazebo to gazebo (located all over the valley) with a beer or wine in hand.
Gazebo #2. Hosted by and on the gold course. Hot wings and some more chili plus more beer and more wine. We spent about 45 minutes to an hour at each gazebo until the food was eaten and the bell was rang to start moseying on to the next stop.
Gazebo #3. The PTA gazebo with the tailgate theme. More hot wings, lots of veggies and you guessed it.... more beer and more wine.
Gazebo #4. This was the tennis association gazebo. It had coffee and some deserts. By this point Troy and I had, had enough beer and enough food to make a break for it. We made the walk back home just in time to catch the kickoff of the first game of the day. Whew.
What a great way to meet some new people in the valley and hang out with some great friends that we already have here. Check out the mountain in the back.......SO READY FOR SNOW.
Happy Sunday!
Love and gratitude.
