family, and stuff....

I know its been at least a week since I've blogged and that's due to unfortunately not having internet for the whole week. But, we are finally back up and running. Woo hoo.
Catch up news: Stella had her first day of school today. Yay. This summer has seemed to drag on and on and I think she was just as excited to start school as I was for her. We had about a two hour long parent briefing this morning and I was so excited about all the great opportunities Stella is going to have at this academy. They even have a "learn how to study hour" incorporated into their day. And, I have joined the PTA, eeeekkkk. :)

Sorry this post is little random and all over place but I'm running through what's happened in the last week or so.
Stella had a great trip to visit family over this last holiday weekend. She got to fly to NY to spend time with her dad, step mom, brother, uncles, aunts, cousins and grandma and grandpa. She had a blast.
Troy and I spent the time she was gone organizing our place and our storage space in anticipation of moving into out new place (Oct 1). We also got to spend some time at Burke (Troy's almamater) watching Jordan play soccer.. For those of you who don't know Troy has two daughters, Jordan 14, and Taylor 16. Jordan goes to a ski academy in Vermont named Burke (about an hour 15 from our house) and Taylor lives with her mom about an hour in the opposite direction from us.
Troy and Jordan.

Jordan and Taylor in Chile this August.

Stella at the airport about to leave for New York.

Stella on her last day of freedom before school.
Troy and Stella launching some rockets.

Again a little random grouping of pictures but I guess if I had to pick a theme it would be introducing the girls and Stella's last few days of summer vacation. SO much more to catch up on but I'll have to throw that together some other time. I'm off to take Stella to swim team practice.
Sending out much love.

Meaning To....

I've been meaning to post pictures of the finished wall at the office for a while now but it seems like every time I remember I'm either not near a computer or something else gets in the way. Well ...here it is, we decided not to do different patio layouts on top, those are going in a different spot but we did put some large slabs on top so we could display our furniture. Now, on to the next 1,000 different projects I have in mind for around here... only that's going to have to wait till tomorrow, the lil one is not feeling well so my mama went and picked her up from school and I'm heading to the doc with her in a few hours to get her checked out. Don't think it's anything major just chest congestion , runny nose but no fever. Nothing a little rest and TLC wont fix! I love the fact that everything is finally starting to turn green. Green makes every thing look better! :)

break #1....

Six weeks.....that's how long she has to have this thing on. It didn't happen playing pond hockey, it didn't happen skiing, it happen tripping down the sidewalk. I mean....REALLY!?!?! Much Love!

2013.......

Aaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!  What a spectacular, awesome, fantastic year. SO much to be thankful for but looking ahead I'm ready to kick some booty in 2014.  We got the chance to spend the holidays with family and I hope you all got to do the same! We've been on the go-go-go schedule so it was nice to slow things down a bit and enjoy each others company. I feel like there is so much to catch up on in the last few weeks but it seems like it's best to just move forward!!! Lots to look forward to in the next few weeks of the new year, Stella has her first race coming up this weekend, a race the following weekend and to add to the mix I have two of our largest shows of the year coming up for work. Flying by the seat of our pants..........Woot! Christmas Day skiing has turned into one of my most favorite family traditions!!   ....and of course Christmas Eve with the family is always great too!!!! It's so rare that we end up at the same mountain (not on a race ...
