CU regents pass measure congratulating Buffs' champion ski teamRegents take note of team's high academic achievements By Brittany Anas, Camera Staff Writer Posted: 04/07/2011 03:39:20 PM MDT AURORA -- The University of Colorado regents praised the Buffs' ski team for winning the NCAA championship this year while also consistently maintaining high academic standards. “You guys all made us really proud,” said CU President Bruce Benson. The regents, at their board meeting on the Anschutz Medical Campus, passed a resolution Thursday to honor the team. The board also recognized the ski team for dedicating its winning season to Spencer Nelson, a ski team member who died in a hiking accident last summer near Aspen. Regents also congratulated the team on maintaining high academic standards. Under head coach Richard Rokos, the graduation rate over 21 season is more than 95 percent. And 11 team members made the NCAA Skiing All-Academic Team, with the qualifications being a grade point average of 3.5 or better and participation in the NCAA regionals. “Thank you for holding such high standards,” Regent Kyle Hybl told Rokos. The Buffs won the national title in the competition that took place March 9-12 in Vermont.

Meaning To....

I've been meaning to post pictures of the finished wall at the office for a while now but it seems like every time I remember I'm either not near a computer or something else gets in the way. Well ...here it is, we decided not to do different patio layouts on top, those are going in a different spot but we did put some large slabs on top so we could display our furniture. Now, on to the next 1,000 different projects I have in mind for around here... only that's going to have to wait till tomorrow, the lil one is not feeling well so my mama went and picked her up from school and I'm heading to the doc with her in a few hours to get her checked out. Don't think it's anything major just chest congestion , runny nose but no fever. Nothing a little rest and TLC wont fix! I love the fact that everything is finally starting to turn green. Green makes every thing look better! :)

Aaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!  What a spectacular, awesome, fantastic year. SO much to be thankful for but looking ahead I'm ready to kick some booty in 2014.  We got the chance to spend the holidays with family and I hope you all got to do the same! We've been on the go-go-go schedule so it was nice to slow things down a bit and enjoy each others company. I feel like there is so much to catch up on in the last few weeks but it seems like it's best to just move forward!!! Lots to look forward to in the next few weeks of the new year, Stella has her first race coming up this weekend, a race the following weekend and to add to the mix I have two of our largest shows of the year coming up for work. Flying by the seat of our pants..........Woot! Christmas Day skiing has turned into one of my most favorite family traditions!!   ....and of course Christmas Eve with the family is always great too!!!! It's so rare that we end up at the same mountain (not on a race ...
