first from the south, now to the north....

Yup! Another fire has broken out about 10 miles (as the crow flys) from the house. This time it's to the north of us. This one has less of a chance of reaching us then the one from last week but it's scary that all these fires are popping up and it's sooooooo dry. We haven't had rain around here for quite some time. So far about 700 acres have burned up since the fire started yesterday mid-morning.
On a little lighter note, Stella and I had a great weekend. Pretty chill, nothin crazy, but had a great dinner with friends on Saturday night. Blessed to have such great friends! Also got a little shopping in this weekend and found these gems below!

Some lovin around the BBQ pit. Found these at World Market (love that place)!

All you need is LOVE!!!

Check out the new flowers! Yeah I know, they're fake BUT, they add some great color to the house. Dad bought these planters for me a few days ago. It's a little late to try and plant some real flowers in them so the next best thing...fake flowers! Less maintenance...sooo much easier, and I can change them out once winter comes along! Woot
Much Monday Lovin!

Meaning To....

I've been meaning to post pictures of the finished wall at the office for a while now but it seems like every time I remember I'm either not near a computer or something else gets in the way. Well ...here it is, we decided not to do different patio layouts on top, those are going in a different spot but we did put some large slabs on top so we could display our furniture. Now, on to the next 1,000 different projects I have in mind for around here... only that's going to have to wait till tomorrow, the lil one is not feeling well so my mama went and picked her up from school and I'm heading to the doc with her in a few hours to get her checked out. Don't think it's anything major just chest congestion , runny nose but no fever. Nothing a little rest and TLC wont fix! I love the fact that everything is finally starting to turn green. Green makes every thing look better! :)

break #1....

Six weeks.....that's how long she has to have this thing on. It didn't happen playing pond hockey, it didn't happen skiing, it happen tripping down the sidewalk. I mean....REALLY!?!?! Much Love!

Ski Team!

A few weeks ago Stella started training with the Eldora Ski Team every Saturday. Now Saturday's can't come soon enough. I get up at 6 and get Stella up at 6:30 and we are out the door by 7. Usually we get up to Eldora around 8:30 after making a stop to get mama coffee and Stella and donut or two! :) By 9am Stella is ripping up the slopes with her coach (Dave) and 5 other little girls her age. She is having such a blast it's hard to believe we didn't do this sooner. I never noticed these signs before and thought it was pretty cool the ski area was showing some love to the local ski programs. Stella proceed to then inform me that they've been there for quite some time. Oops! :) Stella and two of her little ski buddies! Stella ripping up the GS course! At the end of the day which is usually at 3 all the kids have to help tear down the course. Stella is doing such an awesome job that it makes me one proud mama. Much Love!!!
