New Mexico!

Thursday we packed our bags and headed to the airport. Stella always gets so excited about flying it makes it feel like a big adventure. A quick trip (45 minutes) in the plane and we landed in Albuquerque. We had the whole family meet us at the airport and we hopped in Annie's car and made it to our condo at about 9pm. Tired from a long day of work and traveling we crashed in preparation for a few busy days with the entire family.

We got Stella some new luggage for the trip. She's been eyeing the Roxy roll bag for some time now and I finally broke down on Wednesday night before we left and bought it for her.

Stella if front of our little apartment downtown. There were so many people staying at the house that the foo's mom let us stay in one of their rental properties. I love the old doors they have in New Mexico. They are everywhere and one more beautiful then the next.

Saturday night the whole gang eatin traditional tamales (YUMMM) and Chile rellenos.

Last year Jim (Connor's dad) shot this zebra on an African safari, and he just finally got it last week...and here is Connor making out with it. :) (Some kind of family tradition!?!)

Stella cruising in the back seat of Connor's moms convertible. We had such beautiful weather out there, I wish we had a few extra days to spend there in the sunshine.

Connor chillin out on the back deck with the Sandia Peaks in the background. We had many adventures through out the weekend and I'll post lots more pictures and stories in the next few days. Already missing the 505!

Happy Monday! :)

2013.......

Aaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!  What a spectacular, awesome, fantastic year. SO much to be thankful for but looking ahead I'm ready to kick some booty in 2014.  We got the chance to spend the holidays with family and I hope you all got to do the same! We've been on the go-go-go schedule so it was nice to slow things down a bit and enjoy each others company. I feel like there is so much to catch up on in the last few weeks but it seems like it's best to just move forward!!! Lots to look forward to in the next few weeks of the new year, Stella has her first race coming up this weekend, a race the following weekend and to add to the mix I have two of our largest shows of the year coming up for work. Flying by the seat of our pants..........Woot! Christmas Day skiing has turned into one of my most favorite family traditions!!   ....and of course Christmas Eve with the family is always great too!!!! It's so rare that we end up at the same mountain (not on a race ...

Change.....

It's time for a change.  I've been wanting to switch blog platforms for quite sometime and just wasn't finding the right one but thanks to a dear friend of mine I was turned onto squarespace. It's taken a minute or two to figure out this new platform but I'm loving it. I've imported all the old content from this blog and am ready to roll. In short, I've moved to a new neighborhood!!! Woot!  I'm humbled that even one person reads my ramblings but when my numbers started hitting the 1000's on a monthly basis I was blown away. For those of you who read this with love, THANK YOU and for those who don't THANK YOU as well. My gratitude runs deep for all of you...... Hope to see you here: www.linda-rokos-watts.squarespace.com

Just say no to mud season.....

It just won't stop!!  We were kinda hoping it would just long enough for Troy to get out of Summit County and on the west side of GlenWood Springs before another big storm came in.  Nope. Didn't happen. It's mud season and nothing unusually or unexpected and I'm sure we will get one or two more storms but.....BOOOOOO!!! Our backyard is pretty beautiful right now!  Bike all packed and ready to go!  We had a few great dinner parties this weekend and I can't say that I'm too bummed Troy isn't on the road. Sunday's snuggled up together watching movies while it dumps outside isn't so awful! Hope you'll are having a fabulous weekend!  Love and Gratitude!
