Texas!!

Thursday afternoon Connor and I flew down to Austin, Texas. We stepped out of the airport and it was like walking into a wet, heavy, hot brick wall. The humidity was something that I had forgotten about.
We spent Friday driving down to Dallas to visit with some of Connor's old friends and he showed me his old college campus at TCU. We had a lovely visit with Ginnie and Justin and the twins. (pictures coming soon) They were the most adorable set of little girls I've seen. We stayed the night in Dallas and drove back to Austin on Saturday morning and barley made it to the church in time for the bride to walk down the isle (but we made it) :) The pictures to follow are not the best, they were taken with the small camera but I'll post the good ones off the big camera soon!
The lovely bride and groom!
The groom (Donnie), Julie and Connor
Cake....mmmmmm!
The reception was held at the Oasis overlooking the lake. It was beautiful!

Connor and I taking the proverbial self pics. (Connor hates them) :)
Go TCU!
Everything in Texas was so bright and green.
We had a wonderful trip (short and sweet) but it was nice to get back on Sunday to the little one. We brought back some goodies and she seemed to have a fun weekend with the grandparents.
THANK YOU MAMA, for watching Stella while we were gone!

Meaning To....

I've been meaning to post pictures of the finished wall at the office for a while now but it seems like every time I remember I'm either not near a computer or something else gets in the way. Well ...here it is, we decided not to do different patio layouts on top, those are going in a different spot but we did put some large slabs on top so we could display our furniture. Now, on to the next 1,000 different projects I have in mind for around here... only that's going to have to wait till tomorrow, the lil one is not feeling well so my mama went and picked her up from school and I'm heading to the doc with her in a few hours to get her checked out. Don't think it's anything major just chest congestion , runny nose but no fever. Nothing a little rest and TLC wont fix! I love the fact that everything is finally starting to turn green. Green makes every thing look better! :)

break #1....

Six weeks.....that's how long she has to have this thing on. It didn't happen playing pond hockey, it didn't happen skiing, it happen tripping down the sidewalk. I mean....REALLY!?!?! Much Love!

Ski Team!

A few weeks ago Stella started training with the Eldora Ski Team every Saturday. Now Saturday's can't come soon enough. I get up at 6 and get Stella up at 6:30 and we are out the door by 7. Usually we get up to Eldora around 8:30 after making a stop to get mama coffee and Stella and donut or two! :) By 9am Stella is ripping up the slopes with her coach (Dave) and 5 other little girls her age. She is having such a blast it's hard to believe we didn't do this sooner. I never noticed these signs before and thought it was pretty cool the ski area was showing some love to the local ski programs. Stella proceed to then inform me that they've been there for quite some time. Oops! :) Stella and two of her little ski buddies! Stella ripping up the GS course! At the end of the day which is usually at 3 all the kids have to help tear down the course. Stella is doing such an awesome job that it makes me one proud mama. Much Love!!!
