Fly Fishing...

I've always thought fly fishing was kind of geeky. In high school all the guys use to fly fish the Yampa in Steamboat and they would wear all their goofy lookin gear and spend hours in the river. I never understood it until now. Connor had got me hooked on fishing. He bought Stella a good fishing pole for Christmas this last year but last weekend was mama's turn. I finally got my very own 9 foot long fly fishing rode. Let me tell you...it's not a cheap sport. Those suckers are expensive and all the gear that goes along with it adds up quick. Having just started to learn, I don't have all the geeky gear yet. We'll see just how many fish I can get before I start investing more into it. So far though I'm hooked! :)

It's the fuzzy red heart fly... I don't know what kind of fish likes this but it's mine and Stella's favorite fly. Can't wait to get out and use all of my new gear...unfortunately it's going to have to wait until next weekend when we go prairie dog hunting.

2013.......

Aaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!  What a spectacular, awesome, fantastic year. SO much to be thankful for but looking ahead I'm ready to kick some booty in 2014.  We got the chance to spend the holidays with family and I hope you all got to do the same! We've been on the go-go-go schedule so it was nice to slow things down a bit and enjoy each others company. I feel like there is so much to catch up on in the last few weeks but it seems like it's best to just move forward!!! Lots to look forward to in the next few weeks of the new year, Stella has her first race coming up this weekend, a race the following weekend and to add to the mix I have two of our largest shows of the year coming up for work. Flying by the seat of our pants..........Woot! Christmas Day skiing has turned into one of my most favorite family traditions!!   ....and of course Christmas Eve with the family is always great too!!!! Meaning To....

I've been meaning to post pictures of the finished wall at the office for a while now but it seems like every time I remember I'm either not near a computer or something else gets in the way. Well ...here it is, we decided not to do different patio layouts on top, those are going in a different spot but we did put some large slabs on top so we could display our furniture. Now, on to the next 1,000 different projects I have in mind for around here... only that's going to have to wait till tomorrow, the lil one is not feeling well so my mama went and picked her up from school and I'm heading to the doc with her in a few hours to get her checked out. Don't think it's anything major just chest congestion , runny nose but no fever. Nothing a little rest and TLC wont fix! I love the fact that everything is finally starting to turn green. Green makes every thing look better! :)
