Reading....

I was organizing Stella's desk when I got home from work while Stella was outside playing this afternoon. My lil girl is a pack rat, she loves to keep everything. I tactfully organized so that she wouldn't miss too many of the things I put in the garbage. I also pulled out the arsenal of books that Stella has yet to read and put the stack of books that she has read to the side. I promised that once we got started on this stack of book we could head to Barnes and Noble and pick up a new book for every one that she reads from now on. She got really excited and wanted to get started right away. I also started looking online today for summer workbooks and comparing different learning structures and trying to find the ones closest to the one she uses in school. Mrs Boyat (Stella's teacher) made a few suggestions as well so I think we will have plenty of material to work on this summer.
Summer vacation or not we're going to be learning all we can. :)

It's a little more tidy, but it is Stella's space and as long as she keeps it clean and some what uncluttered I'm a happy mama.

Meaning To....

I've been meaning to post pictures of the finished wall at the office for a while now but it seems like every time I remember I'm either not near a computer or something else gets in the way. Well ...here it is, we decided not to do different patio layouts on top, those are going in a different spot but we did put some large slabs on top so we could display our furniture. Now, on to the next 1,000 different projects I have in mind for around here... only that's going to have to wait till tomorrow, the lil one is not feeling well so my mama went and picked her up from school and I'm heading to the doc with her in a few hours to get her checked out. Don't think it's anything major just chest congestion , runny nose but no fever. Nothing a little rest and TLC wont fix! I love the fact that everything is finally starting to turn green. Green makes every thing look better! :)

break #1....

Six weeks.....that's how long she has to have this thing on. It didn't happen playing pond hockey, it didn't happen skiing, it happen tripping down the sidewalk. I mean....REALLY!?!?! Much Love!

Ski Team!

A few weeks ago Stella started training with the Eldora Ski Team every Saturday. Now Saturday's can't come soon enough. I get up at 6 and get Stella up at 6:30 and we are out the door by 7. Usually we get up to Eldora around 8:30 after making a stop to get mama coffee and Stella and donut or two! :) By 9am Stella is ripping up the slopes with her coach (Dave) and 5 other little girls her age. She is having such a blast it's hard to believe we didn't do this sooner. I never noticed these signs before and thought it was pretty cool the ski area was showing some love to the local ski programs. Stella proceed to then inform me that they've been there for quite some time. Oops! :) Stella and two of her little ski buddies! Stella ripping up the GS course! At the end of the day which is usually at 3 all the kids have to help tear down the course. Stella is doing such an awesome job that it makes me one proud mama. Much Love!!!
