Big Day...

Today is a big day for Western Stone Company. I've been working on a some project leads in the last few months and last week one finally pulled through. There is a show that is part of the Discovery Channel family called Renovation Nation. I had heard that they where restoring an old house in Boulder and needed a very specific type of flagstone. I did a little research and it was an exact match of the type that was on a friend of Paul's property . It's easy to look at a house and spot flagstone but flagstone is not always the same and this type they had on the house came from a quarry here in Lyons that has been shut down for the last 20 years. I pulled some strings (Paul pulled more), we put in a bid, and we got it! We were allowed to go in and pulled the rock we needed for this project.
The truck stopped in this morning to pick up the rock and it felt great that we could pull it together and get our name out there to thousands of viewers. I think the episode is airing sometime in the next few months but once I get details I will post them!

Meaning To....

I've been meaning to post pictures of the finished wall at the office for a while now but it seems like every time I remember I'm either not near a computer or something else gets in the way. Well ...here it is, we decided not to do different patio layouts on top, those are going in a different spot but we did put some large slabs on top so we could display our furniture. Now, on to the next 1,000 different projects I have in mind for around here... only that's going to have to wait till tomorrow, the lil one is not feeling well so my mama went and picked her up from school and I'm heading to the doc with her in a few hours to get her checked out. Don't think it's anything major just chest congestion , runny nose but no fever. Nothing a little rest and TLC wont fix! I love the fact that everything is finally starting to turn green. Green makes every thing look better! :)

break #1....

Six weeks.....that's how long she has to have this thing on. It didn't happen playing pond hockey, it didn't happen skiing, it happen tripping down the sidewalk. I mean....REALLY!?!?! Much Love!

2013.......

Aaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!  What a spectacular, awesome, fantastic year. SO much to be thankful for but looking ahead I'm ready to kick some booty in 2014.  We got the chance to spend the holidays with family and I hope you all got to do the same! We've been on the go-go-go schedule so it was nice to slow things down a bit and enjoy each others company. I feel like there is so much to catch up on in the last few weeks but it seems like it's best to just move forward!!! Lots to look forward to in the next few weeks of the new year, Stella has her first race coming up this weekend, a race the following weekend and to add to the mix I have two of our largest shows of the year coming up for work. Flying by the seat of our pants..........Woot! Christmas Day skiing has turned into one of my most favorite family traditions!!   ....and of course Christmas Eve with the family is always great too!!!! It's so rare that we end up at the same mountain (not on a race ...
