Valentines

HAPPY VALETINES DAY!!

Our Valentines started out early this morning packing our ski things and heading up to Winter Park for a full day of hitting the slopes. Before we left on our little skiing adventure I gave Stella one of her Valentines day presents. I found these sterling silver hand stamped earrings last week made by a local jeweler http://www.ninasjewelry.com/ in the coffee shop I go to every morning. I saw them and thought they would be perfect for Stella so I splurged a little!

We got to Winter Park this morning around ten and hit the slopes right away! It was a little chilly and snowing off and on but the conditions were PERFECT!

We got home this afternoon around 4:30ish hoped in the shower and got ready for a night out, just the three of us. We were all feeling in the mood for Italian so we ventured out to one of our favorite places and not thinking ahead didn't make any reservations. We got there and there was a 90 minute wait so, we tried again at a different place and again the same thing. We called a few other places from the car and all ideas were shot down.
Plan B. We ran over to Whole Foods picked up two huge steaks, some asparagus, and some cous-cous and made a night of it at home. It ended up being a fun relaxing night at home. I gave Stella a few more of her Valentines Day presents, some new sketch books and of course some chocolate. For desert we ran down to the drive through Dairy Queen.
What a day! I'm so lucky to have spent it with my two favorite people. Tomorrow is another fun filled day and a trip to the Home and Garden Show. woo-hoo!
Signing off for tonight.
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

Meaning To....

I've been meaning to post pictures of the finished wall at the office for a while now but it seems like every time I remember I'm either not near a computer or something else gets in the way. Well ...here it is, we decided not to do different patio layouts on top, those are going in a different spot but we did put some large slabs on top so we could display our furniture. Now, on to the next 1,000 different projects I have in mind for around here... only that's going to have to wait till tomorrow, the lil one is not feeling well so my mama went and picked her up from school and I'm heading to the doc with her in a few hours to get her checked out. Don't think it's anything major just chest congestion , runny nose but no fever. Nothing a little rest and TLC wont fix! I love the fact that everything is finally starting to turn green. Green makes every thing look better! :)

break #1....

Six weeks.....that's how long she has to have this thing on. It didn't happen playing pond hockey, it didn't happen skiing, it happen tripping down the sidewalk. I mean....REALLY!?!?! Much Love!

2013.......

Aaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!  What a spectacular, awesome, fantastic year. SO much to be thankful for but looking ahead I'm ready to kick some booty in 2014.  We got the chance to spend the holidays with family and I hope you all got to do the same! We've been on the go-go-go schedule so it was nice to slow things down a bit and enjoy each others company. I feel like there is so much to catch up on in the last few weeks but it seems like it's best to just move forward!!! Lots to look forward to in the next few weeks of the new year, Stella has her first race coming up this weekend, a race the following weekend and to add to the mix I have two of our largest shows of the year coming up for work. Flying by the seat of our pants..........Woot! Christmas Day skiing has turned into one of my most favorite family traditions!!   ....and of course Christmas Eve with the family is always great too!!!! It's so rare that we end up at the same mountain (not on a race ...
