Jack Rabbits, Prairier Dogs and Coyotes...OH MY!

Saturday morning Connie, Lucky, Mitch and I head up to the north east part of the state to the Pawnee National Grass Lands with the intention to hunting us down some critters. We got a nice early start and got up there within a few hours. That's when the fun began.....

We cracked open a few beers and started scoping out the terrain for some p-dog towns. We split into two groups and made our way through the park. It took us a few hours but we finally came across some critters. Out came the guns and Connies new baby and we circled the town. We got but one shot off and the lil critters hid and stayed hidden. Apparently these Pawnee prairie dogs are WAY smarter then the ones in Wyoming and here locally on the outskirts of Boulder. The p-dogs don't go into hiding here....you could shoot one after another and they still scurry in and out of their homes.

Sundown was approaching so we saddled to find a place to camp for the night. We found a little spot right next to a dried up river with some shelter from the wind. Set up camp and built a fire. What a night....it got COLD!! It is February after all.

We got up on Sunday morning to a beautiful day. Made some breakfast and sited in Connies new gun. Hunted down a few more p-dogs and called it a day.

It was soooooo nice to get out of town and disconnect from the world a little.

BOOM BOOM, BANG BANG

Meaning To....

I've been meaning to post pictures of the finished wall at the office for a while now but it seems like every time I remember I'm either not near a computer or something else gets in the way. Well ...here it is, we decided not to do different patio layouts on top, those are going in a different spot but we did put some large slabs on top so we could display our furniture. Now, on to the next 1,000 different projects I have in mind for around here... only that's going to have to wait till tomorrow, the lil one is not feeling well so my mama went and picked her up from school and I'm heading to the doc with her in a few hours to get her checked out. Don't think it's anything major just chest congestion , runny nose but no fever. Nothing a little rest and TLC wont fix! I love the fact that everything is finally starting to turn green. Green makes every thing look better! :)

break #1....

Six weeks.....that's how long she has to have this thing on. It didn't happen playing pond hockey, it didn't happen skiing, it happen tripping down the sidewalk. I mean....REALLY!?!?! Much Love!

2013.......

Aaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!  What a spectacular, awesome, fantastic year. SO much to be thankful for but looking ahead I'm ready to kick some booty in 2014.  We got the chance to spend the holidays with family and I hope you all got to do the same! We've been on the go-go-go schedule so it was nice to slow things down a bit and enjoy each others company. I feel like there is so much to catch up on in the last few weeks but it seems like it's best to just move forward!!! Lots to look forward to in the next few weeks of the new year, Stella has her first race coming up this weekend, a race the following weekend and to add to the mix I have two of our largest shows of the year coming up for work. Flying by the seat of our pants..........Woot! Christmas Day skiing has turned into one of my most favorite family traditions!!   ....and of course Christmas Eve with the family is always great too!!!! It's so rare that we end up at the same mountain (not on a race ...
