Happy Easter Sunday!!!  We spent an awesome day in Winter Part for a kombi race! Stella had a hoot, the sun was shinning, spectating from the deck was glorious, and the sun burn is intense!!!  :) They had an Easter egg hunt before the race, more like a mad dash with skis and poles flying everywhere just to grab an egg or two! It was a blast to watch!   Victorious!!!  Happy girl!  Stella getting after the kombi. It was a great event! I wish we had more of these!    Across the finish!  That look......it's the look that says "mom, stop taking pictures!"  Stella and her buddy Alex!  We have two more weekends ahead of races in Beaver Creek and Loveland and then the season is finally over. I think we are all ready for a little break. But with these kind of smiles and happy days I think we could handle some more!! :)  Love and Gratitude! 

It's not about what we have, although having nice things is nice, but those things don't make or break our happiness. I am grateful for the relationships I have with the people that I love. I am grateful for health and being present in the here and now! I give thanks!  Love and Gratitude.

Can you feel it?!? Spring is near, even though we still probably have a few major snow storms ahead of us I am ready for a HUGE dose of sunshine. Stella still has another 3 weekends of races left in this final push to the end of the ski season, I think we are all ready for a break (mama included) well maybe except for Troy he has a true love affair with snow! I'm ready for spring, summer, sunshine, suntans, evening walks in the warm air, frequent trips to the Jolly Ranch and to Lyons, all the adventures that summer holds, sitting on the back deck with a drink in hand soaking in the good things in this life, gardening, oh and last but not least some major spring cleaning!  Woooo.  I think these flowers triggered a little bit of the spring fever!   This is a pic from last weekend and probably one of the coldest weekends we've had on the hill this year.....this contributed to spring fever a little too!  A happy family pic in our backyard. Mollie (my bestie) and Barry (now part of the family) came for a visit this week. Not only was I witness to their engagement but I think Troy and I have found our free-skiing equals! Pure Bliss!  Some love....  some more love.....  mixed in with a little (too much) sunshine......  equals an amazing few days of skiing at The Beav and Vail.  We skied over 30,000 vertical feet on Thursday and over 20,000 today. Probably more skiing then I've done in one day in a VERY long time, if not ever. I'm tired and a little sun burned but grinning from ear-to-ear.  We've decided to make this an annual thing, now it's time to start planning where we are going next year!  :)  Back to reality tomorrow, and it's time to catch up on some house work.
