ringing in the new year...

We started out the last day of 2011with no power, a crazy windstorm, and trees fallen over in our driveway. 2011 has brought a lot of change to our lives but now more then ever, I finally feel like we are where we belong.  It's 8:30pm and we finally just got our power back on as of 20 minutes ago. Trevor and Remy are over and we've got a wicked game of poker going. What an awesome way to ring in the New Year!!  One of my favorite pictures from 2011, Stella at the Jolly Ranch with Ellie!  Happy New Year from the Rokos/Watts Family! Wishing everyone health, happiness, love, gratitude, and prosperity as we move into a new year!  With love and gratitude...

a must see....Senna.

The story of the monumental life and death of legendary Brazilian motor-racing champion, Ayrton Senna. Spanning the decade from his arrival in Formula One in the mid-80's, the film follows Senna's struggle both on track against his nemesis, French Wold Champion Alain Prost, and off it, against the politics which infest the sport. Sublime, spiritual yet, on occasion, ruthless - Senna conquers and transcends Formula One to become a global superstar. Privately, he is humble, almost shy, and fiercely patriotic, donating millions to his native Brazil, and contemplating a life beyond motor-racing. Yet he is struck down in his prime on the blackest weekend in the history of the sport, watched live on TV by 300 million people. Years on he is revered in Formula One as the greatest motor-racing driver of all time, and in Brazil a saint. Written by Anonymous. A beautiful documentary on an amazing driver. Troy and I watched this driving across country and will watch it over and over...

for sale, part deux....

Merry Christmas and Happy New year! Here we are in sunny, happy Colorado! We are finally settled into our new home (which rocks btw)! In the last two week since we arrived back in Colorado we have gotten to see all of the family on both sides and move into our place. It's been a lot of work but soooooo well worth the effort. Breckenridge has been great to us so far and already it's been serendipitous on many levels.  Moving on, and to get to the point of this blog.....we have a trailer for sale. It is a 6 x 12 trailer, three weeks old, under warranty and we need to sell it.  Here is Ivan (one of our cars) with the trailer that moved all our worldly possessions across this great nation of ours.  Amazingly this thing packed in about 4000lbs of our stuff.   If you know of anyone looking for a trailer. Here is the link to our Craigslist add http://denver.craigslist.org/rvs/2769402821.html.  Much love and gratitiude....

The Jolly Ranch ....

Troy and I are spending a few days at the Jolly Ranch, sadly Stella isn't with us (she LOVES this place), she's in Seattle with her dad, step-mom and little brother. Since we were moving over the holidays it was awesome that she could go visit the Larsens and I'm grateful she gets to spend a happy Christmas with them..... but boy do I miss that little monkey!   The Jolly Ranch! Love this place and the people here!  We got about 12 inches of snow, we took a little drive to the town of Lake George. Love all the old structures around here, even better when covered in snow.    Just down the road from Becky and Bill.   On the ranch with Tilda and Ellie!  Tilda greeting us as we drive back in from town!   Elie joining in the fun.....you can barely see her.   The horses had their fun in the snow this morning too. Stella's favorite horse, Hickory!  Crocket, Bravo and Shiloh!   Til...

trippin....

We finally arrived in Colorado the day before yesterday after 4 days on the road! Woo hoo! We got to our home in Breck and found it to be sooooooo much cooler then we had thought! The drive across country was long and we made it a little longer by driving around a massive storm that hit Kentucky (thanks to Troy's awesome navigating) we were blessed to have a safe, dry, drive across 2000 miles.   New York  Some where in middle America!   Poor Ivan (our car) was so loaded down but he ran like a champ!  West Virginia had some pretty rolling hills!   The drive through Ohio seemed to take for forever.   We have a mini Buddha glued to the dash for a little extra guidance.  Indian was a bit long as well.   All smiles as we near Colorado   You can barley see the foothills as the sun is setting but what a sight!   Longs peak as the sun is setting. My parents live in the foothills j...

6 days.... . . . . .ARG!!!!

It's go time! We are flying by the seat of our pants at this point and our plans seem to change by the hour. As of right now we are scheduled to be all packed up and loaded, ready to drive by Saturday morning. Our place rented and the new people want to be in a few days early. Not a big deal but that means this week will be one CRAZY week. Ready?!?  Had an awesome morning driving Taylor to Loon so she could teach some little ones how to ski and we drove Jordan back to Burke. Wishing Taylor was in this pic......  Above us, the new quad that Burke has installed on their training hill. I think Troy was a bit envious that this thing wasn't there when he was at Burke decades ;) ago! Such a lovely day!  Ready, set, go..........love and gratitude!

schnitzel, fish-eyes and the girls....

What a day! We picked up Jordan this morning after she got off the red-eye from Colorado early this morning. We got a chance to hang out most of the day and then the day got even better .....we got to pick up Taylor this afternoon for a fun filled night, hanging out at home with all the girls.   We got our new fish-eye lens in the mail today! This is the first picture to come out of it. Taken by Troy. A little weird that my arm looks larger then my leg but still a fun lens to play with.  The angles this thing can get are crazy. It's an attachment that we can put on anyone of our lenses. So cool!   Since the girls were all coming over I thought it would be fun to make a big dinner so we could all sit around the table and enjoy each others company. On the menu, chicken schnitzel, potato wedges, big green salad and the girls made cupcakes for desert. Woo Hoo!  The three girls in the kitchen! Love this!  Big wee...

lego-ing....

Stella got a little package in the mail today. A new Lego set. When was the last time you played with Legos?!?! Well, I can safely say it's been decades for me so, we decided to have family Lego night. It was a hoot. Troy, Stella and I spent some quality time with A LOT of little, little pieces!  This is about an 1/10 of what we put together.   Stella had some fun.....I think she rebuilt hers 5 different times.    You can't tell from the pictures but these things have gears that make a bunch of different parts move.   Some bad-ass little Lego dudes.  One other thing came in the mail today...... a smoked turkey from Nana and Papa B. It was sooooooo good, and it saved me from having to come up with something to cook for dinner. Woo-hoo!  Thank you Nana and Papa B! See you guys soon! Love and Gratitude.

cheers...

Raising a glass to Bry-guy! 3 years . . . .!  Love and Gratitude!

Love this... Love and gratitude!

sold it...

Things are falling into place BEAUTIFULLY! The family car is sold and we got a beast of an SUV to haul any trailer out there. Woot! I'm sure we'll still have a  hiccup or two along the way but so far, so good.   So excited to be back in the same zip code as my brother, miss this guy!  Sending love and gratitude.....we're getting closer!  :)

for sale....

If you haven't heard already....we're moving to back Colorado!!! WOO HOO!!! There have been some major changes in our lives as of last week (no, we're not pregnant  :) ) and we've decided to take an offer/opportunity in Breckenridge (Troy's home town)!! We as a family couldn't be more excited. Funny how things work out. Oh, and the best part...we'll be there before the end of the year. I'm a little overwhelmed with all the details of trying to get everything together before we leave in less then three weeks to make the drive back to the west coast but it's all so worth it.  Okay, now that the news is out there.....check out our car for sale. For more details follow the link... http://nh.craigslist.org/cto/2735875969.html It needs to go quick. If you know of anyone looking for a GREAT family car, this is a awesome deal! We've loved this car but we've turned into a "big truck" family.   2007 Suzuki XL7 All the upgr...

2 1/2 weeks....part 4

With Troy working the ENTIRE time we were out in Copper (clocking 18 days straight on snow in two camps) he unfortunately didn't get the chance Stella and I got to see family. Once camp one ended it was my turn to finally get on snow to coach camp #2. That's when the real fun started. It felt awesome being back in my coaching boots and cruising the mountain with some amazing skiers.  I got so many great pictures from this week on snow....wish I could share them ALL but I'll just post a great pic of 5 girls we (Troy and I) get to see all winter long.....how lucky are we? Love these girls!  Troy  My brother from another mother!   Leaving Copper with a bang.  This is my last blog for a little while. Focusing, plotting, planning, working, and strategizing.   Love and Gratitude to all family and friends!
