W.O.D.

I have a new addiction. Not since I was in my late teens have I worked-out so hard. Yes, I've started doing Crossfit . (Click the Crossfit to learn). I have never been so pushed and driven to want to workout on a daily basis and inspired by how hard the people around me are pushing themselves. For example the W.O.D. (workout of the day) last night was: THE CLEANSE 20  POWER CLEAN 20 HANG SQUAT CLEAN ***TIME*** RX:  80% STRENGTH TRAINING : PUSH PRESS 5 REP 75% 3+ REP  90% SPLIT JERK 3 X 1 90+% I watched in awe and was inspired as these women pushed their way through this workout. Never in my life did I think I would be doing power cleans, squats and dead lifts again (i forgot how much I loved it). Being a "newbie" this was not my workout and we probably only did about 1/2 of this and I can't move and I seriously hurt this morning and the crazy thing is I want more. In the gym there are no egos and no one looks good or pret...

Marilyn.....

Sometimes I try and I fall short but that doesn't mean I wont keep trying! In the end it will work out!  Isn't life grand!  Marilyn had it right!  Love and Gratitude!

listen.....

Don't like the fact that he was on American Idol (well the fact that he won is cool) since I'm not a fan of those types of shows but I love this song. Notice all the snippets of Colorado in the background.   Love and Gratitude!

and so it begins....again!

This weekend Stella had her first on snow training with her new team, Team Breck. Although Breckenridge was open the coaches decided it would be best to stay off the crowded one run they have open and instead train at A-Basin. Which although only has 2 runs open, it's much better snow, and has way less people there since they have been open for a few weeks already.  Saturday Stella trained from 8:30 to 12 and it was a bit snowy and cold. Sunday however was FREEZING. It was the first really cold day we've had of the season. I don't think it got over 5 degrees in the valley. Troy and I tried to take a few runs but for the most part we stayed in the lodge and watched the Brocos play while Stella and her team braved the cold and got some great training in. This was my first time skiing at the Basin since the late 90's and not much has changed except for a great new little lodge at the mid-way station on the mountain. This lodge however, has not changed one ...

birthday love.....

To one of my FAVORITE humans!  Happy Birthday to you,  Happy Birthday to you,  Happy Birthday my LOVE ,  Happy Birthday to you!!! Here is to MANY, Many more turns around the sun!  So much love and gratitude for YOU!

a whole day....

This morning we packed up the car with Gus, Noelle, Stella and myself and headed down Boulder. We left at 8:30 so we would be at the mall when it opened at 10. Did you know that the mall doesn't open till 11 on Sundays? Now you do and so do I. After waiting around for an hour we got to shopping. It was a bit of a marathon and after hitting up H&M, Hollister, and Forever 21 we were pretty pooped and ready for some food and a movie. There is only so much shopping I can handle (it's not my favorite thing). We ate and saw Wreck It Ralph (super cute movie) and then we made one last stop at Costco. It was super crowded but had to be done, I will say the girls made it a bit easier being their goofy selves and keeping things giggling the entire time (thank god for them). Happy to be back in the mountains and away from the city, it's just not my cup of tea.  Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend.  Love and Gratitude!
